Hello LW's...

How is your Sunday going? I hope splendid...

I went to the gym today and did a 55 min cardio on the elliptical. Felt great. 500 cal down and felt some of the stress leave my body...DH woke up this morning and said he was going to the gym. I said...oh wait until I have my coffee and I'll go with. He said if he didn't go then, he wasn't gonna go so I got out of bed, with no coffee yet and went to work out. I almost forgot how good it feels to workout. So that is today. I'll take it day by day.

What are your fitness fun plans today?

Good for you!  And even more of a sacrifice you went without your coffee!  WOOHOO!!

I walked around a gun show today - almost bought me one I've been looking at.

Did you ever buy the gun you were wanting?

I've done really nothing since Monday until today! Exams are stressing me out so much, which is why I am mostly absent until April 29th or so.

Anyway I did a quick 25 mins on the elliptical since we had to do a Target run and I need to get back to my articles that I have to read for tomorrow. I might take a break later and do some squats and presses with our kettlebell stash. Maybe some abs and pushups too. We'll see. I plan to take short breaks during studying this week to help defray some of the enormous stress I am under, but again, we'll see. Ugh.

I got up early and went for a 10 mile run with a friend. She isn't my regular running buddy and pushed the pace for me a bit. So, we ended up averaging 9:51 minute miles, which is fast for me. I was struggling through it and it was windy and rainy. I survived though!

First day back at the gym......felt good although a little shaky in the beginning.   40 minutes on the elliptical.  Hoping to go three times this week and to work up to 5x week like I was doing before surgery.   Can't wait to take a class in the future......have felt too intimidated so far.......

Good day!

Hi Diana,
I miss the gym.  I keep debating with myself about going back.  I've started the walking/jogging back but I know I need to work on the weights some too.  I've thought about Curves, but just not sure where I want to go and when I would go.  I don't think I could make it early in the morning, like I used to do it(6am).

I actually took the day off today.  It has been raining and storming here all afternoon.
Hope tomorrow is better.

Went shopping, yes that counts for exercise, but I also went to the gym and spent 60 minutes on the treadmill doing an alpine pass program. I ran for about 6-7 minutes, which blows my mind that I can do that. I had the incline up high and the program is interval, so I get a good workout. I use the high incline, in an effort to try an firm up my non-existent butt.

Oy, I keep forgetting to come check in here.  I'm just not on my computer as much anymore.

Friday - I did a 60 minute Pilates Reformer class.  I loved it!!  That was after my Thursday night mat Pilates class which I credit for healing my back injury.  If you haven't done pilates, give it a try. I'm getting abs!

Saturday - walked from floor 10 to 26, back down to floor 6 where the gym is.  20 minutes on the treadmill doing a run/walk combo.  Floor pilates followed by walking from 6th to 12th floor, then down to 10 where I live.  (good friend who works out with me lives on 12)

Sunday - 7 hour yoga/chakra study retreat day.  I can't believe I'm doing things like this!!

It's taken me a month to shed 2 pounds but I'm inching closer to goal, ounce by ounce.
