Good Morning. My enemy thinks it's going to sneak up on me

Ok, 3d or 4th morning in a row that my scale says I'm up 3 pounds. This will not do!

Calculating....

1) I'm going to to have to change up my grazing go-to snacks. Ham and cheese--maybe too much sodium. Rockin' Roll bars--maybe their fancy schmancy way of calculating carbs is a lie. I will attempt, by not bringing snacks to work, to limit my morning snack to 1 Greek yogurt and my afternoon snack to 1/2 cup peanuts (maybe unsalted...ewwww!) 

2) I'm going to have to increase my activity. 1 and 2 walks a day isn't enough--increase those to 4 - 6 a day with push-ups.

3) I'm going to increase my water--have a tall glass of water with fresh lime juice and Splenda at night and drink diet cranberry juice throughout the day.
 
Calculating....

1) Run with these tactics for 1 month and see if I come down on the scale

   a) If yes, then continue
   b) If no, then take away the peanuts and add another Greek yogurt for the afternoon instead and maybe join the gym (ugh!)

Ok, you guys got a plan?

Good morning, Gina

I'm seriously suspecting the Rockin Roll bars...snacks are fine, just find a better one. One that doesn't have 300 calories attached to 26 carbs. For someone with only 50? carbs a day, that is a lot of carbs in one place.

We have some errands to run this morning. Tiling got put off for a week or so due to dh looking at the checkbook and pulling in the reins til we get paid again. That gives me time to clean up what I have done so far and reorganize and see where I am and where I am heading.

I think you're onto something. I didn't start bouncing up until I started the Rockin' Roll bars.

RockNRoll bars were my demise.  I was eating one or them, a Detour or Atkins bar a day and had to quit doing that. 

Honestly I have to cut out ALL snacks.  If i HAVE to have one, its a protein drink.

Regain 30 lbs from 2012 to 2016 - got back on track and lost it.  Took 8 months. 
90+/- pounds lost

It is crazy how those few pounds can creep up on you all of a sudden.  Do you weigh every day Gina?  I'm a every morning person.  I started creeping up just before my last surgery and I was starting to panic.  I don't know if I was over eating or if it was the results of having gallstones, but fortunately I'm back within my comfort range again. 

I'm just not into the Protein bars. I was getting into the habit of eating them more for satisfaction of a snack rather than for the Protein.    I love the Rock n Rolls but I try to keep them for a cheer comp or traveling when they are  better than eating the alternatives (french fries/chips/soft pretzels).

I stopped listing my Protein drinks as snacks on M&M.  I feel better about keeping my Protein and snacks listed separately.  Protein is a necessity and snacks are by choice.

Weight is so weird. When I was bigger, my weight never bounced around. Now, however, I will see a two to three pound bounce around on the scale day-to-day. I am not great at scheduling my food unless I'm at work. I guess I would stay away from the bars and substitute it with a string cheese or something, so that you aren't feeling deprived. For some reason, I've dropped a few pounds over the last couple of days. I fully expect to see the scale bounce back up though. If not, cool.

It's great that you are right on top of it and have a plan!

The detour bars got into legal trouble a few years back as they were not honnest about their
carb content...rock and roll is delicious that's why you know it's not good for you...hahhahh..
I gave up the nuts completely and it really helps...I eat cottage cheese with splenda..shredded coconut...not sweetened...cinamon...and a few berries...yum...fat free cottage cheese....oh and if i'm feeling naughty I ad a bit of heavy cream into it....YOUZA....SEAVIEW
