OK, Zumba is definitely NOT a Disney event, but I felt like a kid afterwards~~~

My first Zumba class was last night.  The (very young) women in front of me asked "Who did you come to class with?"  I thought of you all, so I just said  "I came by myself, but several friends I know do Zumba and recommended it!"

One hour of high energy moving, and since I love to dance, I smiled my way through every mostly low impact misstep.  And I made it the ENTIRE hour without stopping.  My first exercise NSV, and to me, a really big one.

Thanks to everyone who encourages me.  I feel so supported, like I have this invisible safety net around me that makes me try things --even by myself.

I feel great after my Zumba class.  Ours is really Zumba to the oldies and I'm sure we don't look like they do on TV but we are moving the whole time and sweating and it is fun.  That is what it is all about.  Even at that, I still miss a step every so often and feel very klutzy.

Good for you.  I'm glad you had a good time.

I want to do Zumba really bad- but I am horribly shy when it comes to new things and dreadfully uncoordinated at times.

WAY TO GO TRACEY!!!!  I'm proud of ya!

I don't want to feel stupid at a class so I'm getting a Wii and the Zumba program to practice it a bit here at home until I feel I'm ready for a class.

Yea yea yea... and I clean the house before the maid comes too.

Zumba sounds like a fun exercise.  I don't know of class in my area.  I've been thinking about ordering it.  You may have convinced me to go ahead a do that!

It sounds like you are doing great.

Right on Tacey!  I don't think I would have the nerve to get up and do a Zumba class without a sidekick to act goofy with me.
