I go to OA and there are meetings just for bariatric patients where we can discuss OUR issues ....
but the whole fellowship is rife with us also . Generally the surgery is not talked about except as something else people tried ( often its i tried that and failed ... regained regrettably ) .
OA is a GREAT support ..and there are terriffic free online meetings every three hours !

Love your progression pictures! You sure can see a BIG difference throughout the months.
Yes, old eating habits creep back in but the big issue is you've realized it and are doing something about it!
Doing great!

Wow Kay, these are great pics. Look at that beautiful figure emerging. You've done great with your first six months. Big congrats. I think it's so smart of you to seek some help with the eating. Therapy is wonderful. Someone to focus on just us? What could be bad about that? :)

You are looking Great!! I can't wait for follow up pictures!!!!
It's very easy to fall back into bad habits during the honeymoon period (which might be up to 18 months or even 2 years for some) because we can still lose while cheating. Our minds try to trick us into thinking that we can have the little bites of extras and that we are still in control. The truth is all of those little bites lead to bad habits and when the honeymoon period is over it's hard to go back to basics.
If you feel you need to talk to someone then that's what you should do. Do whatever it takes to get to goal and to live a normal healthy life.

You look fabulously healthy, Kay! Love the progress pictures - so motivating. I remember you said you travel a lot for work -- being out of your home environment in normal times can be challenging -- you have done a great job these past 6 months dealing with that.
I'm a self-help book junkie and am reading a Marianne Williamson book - A Course In Weight Loss...it's a spiritual book. I don't know if you are in to that type of read. Just thought I would throw it out there.
I'm going to my first support meeting tonight and it's a therapy focused meeting -- thinking about scheduling an appointment with the Dr., too. My program seems to have it figured out and they really push for follow up appts with the psych.
Thank you for sharing your life with us. I'm thankful for all of the people on this board every day!!! I have learned so much these past 6 months.
Good luck with your appointment!
