Have any of you had an bowel obstruction?
I think I have something wrong with my innards too. I have lots of different symptoms and am scheduled for an ultrasound and ct scan w/contrast next tuesday. I still have bm's but I can feel a 'traffic jam' in the area where i get intermittent pain (lower inside left hip area...think about 1/2 way inbetween belly button and hip)...if that makes sense. I take colace daily. Drink hot lemon water daily. Add fiber to my coffee daily. I drink 96oz+ daily...but I still have sluggish movement and I swear I feel bulges in that same area. I am afraid that either I have a partial obstruction, adhesions, hernias, or something. I know something is not right, i just don't know what it is. I have taken laxatives...they do NOTHING for me. Crazy...
maybe I should look at the miralax? can that be taken daily? ugh, i am so frustrated too....
Keep us posted. HUGS to ya...

My DGD had to have rectum surgery when she was a year old and the Surgeon's told her she will have to take Miralax the rest of her life. They say it is perfectly safe.

Hopefully you will get this fixed and then try Natural Calm. Read about it on the Internet. I use the plain kind (4 teaspoons) in 1/2 cup ho****er before I go to bed at night. In the morning I start the day off with lots of hot liquids--my GYN and urologist recommend ho****er. Some days I use two suppositories especially if I need to get that job over with and get on my way out the door.
The Calm is suppose to balance the calcium and magnesium in our colons, Also my doc said to take Calcium with D and Magnesium. He had me to quit with the calcium for a month until I could get my colon to working properly. I am starting back on calcium today, so I may have to increase to the Calm.

I will look up Natural Calm. I wonder about the calcium...I wonder if I should cut back on dosage or do the same as give myself a month off...hhhmmm. I have had my most severe constipation when I switch up calcium or took it without magnesium. BUT...I have been on this brand for a while...it is a good combo of cal+mag. I wonder if I'm taking too much...hhhmmm.
