I am so addicted that I cannot even have calcium chews in the house or office.  The only things I can handle are fudgsicles and SF pudding.  I feel ya!

I am definitely a chocoholic. Thankfully the protein shake**** the spot for me. I especially love dark chocolate. I finally found some Hershey's unsweetened cocoa powder so I use that in my shakes to get my dark chocolate fix.

I'm So PROUD of YOU!!!!!!!!       It's so easy to fall right back into those old habits especially while we are still in the honeymoon period and the scales don't go up fast when we make mistakes.

I understand completely!!   My DH had a Hershey bar in the fridge and every time I opened the door it tempted me. It wasn't long until I just couldn't resist one square, then another, etc. He wasn't happy when it was MIA.

I'm with Linda on the chips.  I just can't have them in the house.  Snyder Honey BQ...yum!

God is walking with me every step of the way. Because of HIM this is possible!!

U know what I love MOST about my surgery almost 20 months post is that I dont NEED a gosh darn drug to feel good YAY

U know GRRLs ..... when the chocolate devil ( or bunny this season comes tempting ) I tell myself ....leave that ch..t behind .....get Tanned ...get Bikini -Ready ..have fun with Hubby instead .. enjoy how I look in the morning ...

Thank God we have a second chance at a truly fulfillng life .....and that said ..whose to say fatfree cocoa and fat free promise and butter buds and splenda and vanilla wont make a HEAVENLY ccombination ?! ( without the fat thighs ) ( it DOES by the way and can be melted and poured into molds .... and DR. Oetker's organic fat free brownies are a low sugar chocoholics dream too and thoroughly satisfy the occasional craving . ) But im so thankful I dont really crave it any more

LOL!!! I agree completely!!!! The WLS has given me a second chance at life, free of pre-diabetes, sleep apnea, joint pain, fatigue, poor self-esteem, and so much more. I consider it a gift and my plan is to take very good care of it. If this means not bringing certain foods into the house, so be it.

I love chocolate, but have been doing without it. My new addiction is a Skinny Latte. YUM, YUM. I'm not a saint, either.

You did a good thing Sue!!!!!   It is sometimes hard to see that we have a problem with certain foods and often harder to adress it head on.....good job!

I don't do sugar at all....I dump big time.....but today I got to work today and a very nice patient left 8 (EIGHT!!!) Kringles (for those that do not know what this is...it is a WONDERFULLY SINFULL pastry in the shape of an oval ring and they are each 24"x14").....it took everything I had to walk away....I used to LOVE kringle.

Wow, all of you are so fantastic.  The encouragement is very motivating.  Before weight loss surgery my big nemisis was maple bars and other pastries, I didn't really care about chocolate.  It's weird how we end up picking something new.  I woke up in the middle of the night with hunger pains.  Debated whether I should get up and get something to eat, then fell asleep.  I think "someone" was reminding me what the difference between head hunger and real hunger is.  Love all of you.

Good for you! I too love choc. For me it started with those Andes mint choc.  It was just enough to get rid of the craving.  I kept them in the freezer and wouls grab one here and there, then it got up to a habit of 5 a day!  Now I don't keep them, I can't.  I am over a year out and fighting for those last pounds to come off.  It seems I hit the 1 year and then the malabsorbtion went away and I am back to gaining if I so much as look at somethings I should not have.  Also old habits are creeping back in. It is hard. So kudos to you for recogninzing an defeating!

Thanks Sheri.  It kind of makes me laugh to think that I would really believe that I could only eat one chocolate square.  I've turned my back on sugar-free cookies and candy because I knew I wouldn't eat just one.  This experience has been one heck of a mind opener!
