Oh Cheese how I miss you. LOL  I am praying after my appointment with my surgeon on Monday that she advances me to pureed stage.  Eggs have never looked so good. LOL  Of course right now I can't eat anything because I am now lactose intolerant.  Everything seems to have milk in it. :(

I thought I was allowed salad after 6 weeks, but I think I had a communication breakdown because I was told I was allowed them at my 3 month checkup. I'm still not sure if I was really allowed them at 6 months.

Anyway lettuce and salad dressings (even light ones) seem to disagree with me.  The nurse told me to try baby spinach or baby romaine, and it might sit better.

I had my first salad at 7 weeks out and was fine. My surgeon and NUT both say that most people can eat salad somewhere between 2-3 months out but before that it can bug the new stomach so just be careful at first.

My program says that once you are on regular food that you can eat anything you can tolerate -- of course they say to avoid certain foods that may stall your weight loss, but other than that, if it's good for you and you can tolerate, you can have it.

Spinach was one of my first cooked veggies and I loved it.  I think we had salads at the 2nd solids phase which was around 2 months out.  I haven't had any problem with them but did go very slow.

I did miss cheese when I was on everything until it was added, at solid food.  Most folks get it with pureed but not my group.  I hadn't had any for the 4 week optifast before and was so hungry for cheese.  Plus it is so easy, no prep.

Oh, how a nice chilly salad sounds. I want some too, but it's just the cottage cheese to go with the whine right now. I feel for you.

I have no advice, but I'm sorry you are upset and I'm swinging some rainbow lizards that all evens out soon.

I remember when I was missing salads, too. I still eat them almost every day now.
