Anyone have cheese to go with my whine???
I am so despondent! I can do without bread. I can do without sweets.
BUT I MISS MY SALADS!!!! Some tender but crunchy sweet baby romaine or red and green leaf lettuce, a bit of lemon juice and olive oil dressing, some craisins, and a few sunflower seeds.
OH WHEN will I be able to eat that, dear LW Goddesses?
Today I tried boiled spinach for the second time. Ouch, ouch, ouch. That was at 11 am, and I am still hurting. And I had less than 1/4 cup.
OK, throw the cheese at me now. I've just finished the whine.

I don't know but I am SERIOUSLY missing salads too.
I have had spinach IN things but only a little bit. And that didn't happen until the last week or so (I'm at 7 weeks out now).
Any sleever's or DS'ers able to tell us?

I know how you feel! I missed them so much. I think I was allowed to try salads 6 or 8 weeks out. I can't remember because I've been having one for lunch every day for so long it feels like I've always done it. (It helps my acid reflux, oddly.) Take it easy with the veggies--drink your v8 for now if mushy veggies hurt! I tried steamed broccoli when I was cleared for veggies, and it HURT OMG SO BAD. I felt like someone was stabbing me in the sternum. It's fine now. Ask your doc when you can try some lettuce, and when you do, I would try butter lettuce or leaf (red or green) as they are softer and less fibrous than romaine. Iceberg is completely nutritionally worthless--not worth trying. :)

Which means I should be good for small salads in the next few weeks if I go slow about them. I'm already eating other veggies. I've had broccoli in very, very small quantities, roasted asparagus, did a bit of cabbage for St. Patrick's Day, mostly Italian Green Beans cooked in bacon fat (DS'er's can use the fat). But I try to stay in the low carb veggies.
I love V8 but it makes my tummy gurgle. LOL
