I've tried lots and lots of protein drinks and can tolerate pretty much anything except the Isopure clear liquid ones.

BUT, the best tasting one I've had with absolutely no weird taste is the Matrix Mint Cookie. Tastes just like a milkshake.

Good luck on your recovery!

Amy, sorry to hear you are still having issues getting food down.

I rely on Beneprotein, which I get online at Medco.com. It is nothing but whey isolate. I mix 3 scoops (6 gm each) with 6 oz. skim or 1% milk (abt 8gm) for about  26 gram drink which is easy for me to get down.

I tried lean corned beef, about 1.5 ounces tonight and couldn't finish. Meat makes me hurt and want to throw up. The Beneprotein has been my savior. I can no longer tolerate Costco Premier Protein and Muscle Milk Light. I think it is all the chemical ingredients, especially artificial sweetener.

You are so brave. I know you'll conquer these issues as you have so many others in your life. Your attitude is wonderful.

Amy honey, you have my number so please give me a call. or send a text tomorrow.  I too have protein powders that you can try.  I also have the bariatric advantage calcium citrate lozenges.    You could crush them and put them in applesauce to get them down without having to suck on them. I may have some chewable vitamins, I'll have to look.  I may have given them all to one of the other girls.

Gail is right, none of the rules apply to you right now, you just need to hydrate and get in protein.  I bought the Isopure in bottles and had to dump it.  It burned my throat and mouth and was vile.  I like the ready to drink Oh Yeah much better and they have 32 protein in a bottle.    I like my chocolate protein made as a hot cocoa.  Come over and I'll fix you some.  Everyone has given you great suggestions.     Gail mentioned the protein pudding.  Did I give you a packet of that when you were over?

I wish you had said something at support group on Wednesday night!  Let's figure out when we can get together.

So many have posted and given great advice and im not sure if you could handle coffee right now but you can make a protein coffee to assist (may have too much acid) I make a slurry with milk and the protein powder first then add my decaf coffee to it. I was so thankful when I got the courage to try this (Thank you Gina) It has helped me so much.
Look into disability, sounds like you may qualify and even if it is half your salary, it is something. GOod Luck and keep us posted ok.
