Nightime snacking..getting the best of me
Great comments, thanks everyone! I had a smoothie after dinner tonight and am trying real hard not to snack although I could run to the pantry or fridge and stuff food in my mouth. I decided to change up my routine and get my morning stuff done in advance to keep busy. That means packing lunch, coffe cups out, protein powder in shaker cups etc. pretty soon it will be time for a shower followed by bed.

Three totally different suggestions:
1. Go exercise. Even if you go up and down the stairs (if you have them) a couple times.
2. Do something with your hands-- like knitting or other crafts. I spin. Hard to eat when my hands are busy.
3. Are you doing the same thing each night when you get the muchies, like watching tv? If so, stop that behavior for awhile to break the relationship between that behavior and eating.
Good luck. I'm sure I'll be fighting the same demon in a few months. Right now I'm lucky that I don't have room to snack, but I know I'll be choosing HIGH fiber high protein foods when I do.... like edamame (soybeans).
