Pants help!!
I totally understand what you're dealing with! After I had my lower body lift and my belly and waist were flattened, I can now only wear my pants/jeans with belts or they won't stay up. I order some of my jeans from online catalogs like Alloy and Delias that have Juniors and Plus sizes (not sure of your age, I'm 23 and still like wearing some Juniors clothes when I can). Although ordering can be tough if you aren't sure what size of theirs will fit- I have a lot of experience with those brands because I bought their Plus jeans/pants when I was bigger and refused to shop in stores. I know once people have lost most of their weight this may not be an option and/or you may cringe at the thought of a plus size store, but I buy most of my jeans and pants from Torrid now (website and stores) because I can fit their smallest size. They only carry as low as size 12 though (waist 32, hips 41) and up to 26, and the tops sizes go small as a L (10), up to like 4X. Their clothes are cut a little bigger so I can't wear most of their tops or dresses (I don't have the boobs like most plus women), but I love their pants and jeans, and they also have wide calf boots that are very cute and not super expensive like Jessica London/Avenue's. I think the brand Dickies also has bigger sizes but can be found a regular stores, like department stores. I know I got a pair of trousers in that brand when I was a bit heavier.
I do watch a lot of What Not to Wear lol, and I love Stacy and Clinton's advice- they always say you have to buy pants to fit the biggest part of you, in your case you say it's your booty haha, then you probably have to take them to a tailor for alterations (or do what I do a buy a bunch of belts!). I think a lot of us not-so-proportionate women have to get their pants tailored, which can be frustrating because it's a pain not to just be able to buy pants off the rack and alterations can be expensive if you have to do it for every pair. Other than that, I'd say definitely try stuff on at different stores and you may find a place where the cut fits you! Some brands are more generous with sizes and fit for thighs/butt area. And even though we all want to never set foot in a plus size store or section again after all our weight loss starts to allow fitting into regular sizes, you may have to shop plus sizes just for pants til you lose a bit more in your lower body. Good luck!!

I'm 33, but I look young. :P I do kind of hate to order stuff online if I can't go try on in the store. It's such a hassle to return stuff, and if you can't return for free, it makes it that much worse. I definitely don't have an aversion to buying plus if it fits and looks cute. I do NOT want mom jeans, and I have a shorter torso, so mom jeans looks so awful on me. I wish people would make jeans with a mid rise that covered an ample ass. :D
I watch WNTW, too! I'm a huge fan of buying things that sort of fit and taking them to a tailor to make them really fit, so that's not an issue for me. Anyway, I'm in Lane Bryant's lowest size boot cut jeans right now, so I'm kind of worried about where I will find jeans that fit me when they start getting really baggy! I don't wanna spend a ton of money on pants if they're not going to fit me very long, ya know?

Kohl's has the Lee jeans with a comfort waist band (in the women's shop for me) and I bet they have them in the smaller sizes, too...
OMG to you! I think that is a fabulous problem to have! and like Jody's thrift shop suggestion -- never thought of it as a time saver, too, but it is!
I love consignment shops, too.
Good luck and happy shopping!

How about custom made jeans just for you? I haven't tried them, but am considering it. I played with the jeans customizer on line and it was kind of fun. The first link is pricey, but more customizable.

Yeah, I've looked at those sites before! I'm totally NOT spending money on custom anything til I'm at goal/done losing weight, though. :) I can't justify spending that kind of money on something I might not be wearing in a month, ya know? Those sites are so awesome, though, and I love that this is an option!

I'll second the Kohl's suggestion...either Lee's or the Sonoma brand. I was in the Lee's for the longest time pre-surgery. Wore a 16 in Kohl's Lee's yet at Goodwill could not even think of trying on a 16 and even 18's didn't work. Not sure why and yet they lastest forever.
See if you can find them on the clearance racks. Actually, like I said, the Sonoma brand is the same way. And that is what I ended up with last weekend. I can't wear Docker's if I wanted too.
