WOW..it's Friday already and the month is half over.  I am excited about warmer weather coming but I'd really like spring to stick around a little.  We barely had a spring or fall last year.

My swelling has gone down a lot and my tummy is feel squishy again.  It was so hard yesterday. There must still be some fluids there because the scales are still up a couple of pounds but then I guess I haven't had a BM in a couple of days either.

With your eats...do you do better at home or away from home?  I do better at home so the next fews days I'm hoping to decarb a little.

I do better away from home, I can't graze what I don't pack.

Loving the warmer weather and longer days, DH and I take our baby boy to the play ground every day after I get home from work. Exercise for the whole family, fresh air, and better sleep. Too bad that means that our evenings get pushed back and I'm going to bed later and then waking up tired. I am a slacker and didn't work out today... maybe some Wii Fit when I get home (in addition to the park time)

B: 1/2 premier nutrition yogurt peanut crunch bar 15g pro

S3: matrix mint cookie shake with SF FF pudding mix and a tb of cool whip lite 23g pro

It's funny but at home I don't think much about eating but at work it seems like I'm always munching on something.  It's usually cheese or fruit and then of course my 3:00 cheezits.

All of the girls and families were here tonight and we dug out old old pictures and we were all laughing so much that my tummy started hurting.  It was the first pain pill I took all day.

Enjoy your company!!!

Hi, Roz. Glad to hear that your tummy is squishy -good sign! I do better at home - more control over food choices. However, the temptation to graze is greater. It is a beautiful, sunny day in Chicago. I am ready for the warm weather but know not to trust it yet.

My managers DD and family live in Chicago.  She drives back and forth there like its right in the next town.   I think she's going next weekend.

Did your Mom like the housing?  I wish my mom would have done that a few years back.  She talked about it for years.  I think her mind would be so much better if she had people her own age to socialize with.

Belly Dancing....I have to much extra skin to giggle....LOL

Good Menu!!!

Thanks for asking, Roz.  My mom thought the place was very nice but she is really sad about leaving her current retirement community and starting over again at 87.  I think it is even harder because my mom has progressive dementia -- changes are doubly difficult.  Her current place is so expensive - $2700/mo for a large studio and meals.  The new place is $2000/mo for a large one bedroom and meals.  Both places offer good programming.   The bottom line is that we need to cut expenses and increase her space to be able to provide a 24-hour caregiver.  I am hoping that she will adjust and find a good social group at the new place.  Still, I am going to try to negotiate one more time with the old place.

As for the belly dancing,  I still have a really big belly (call me Apple) which is actually an asset for this class!
