Good Morning WLSL,

I'm Bulldog, AKA Leda, and just found this forum. I fit in perfectly and am glad to be here. My Dad nicknamed me 'Bulldog' several years ago. He didn't mean it as a compliment. But I like the name because I've needed to be a Bulldog - someone who doesn't quit easily and really hangs on - in my life.

I couldn't understand why my weight was coming off so slowly compared to others, but now I 'get it' and have become more relaxed and forgiving of myself. According to my NUT I'm supposed to eat ~800 cal/day. Some days I have 900....rarely I have more, but I've stopped beating myself up over a few extra cal. My MO is to beat myself up and I'm tired of all that! I have to create my own lifestyle and not compare it to others. If I choose someone else's lifestyle, I won't stick to it. It has to work for me!

Thanks for listening,

 Bulldog AKA Leda

Welcome Bulldog. We're glad you found us, and this particular site is a good fit for all of us too! I just looked at your stats and think your loss looks pretty good. I've allowed myself the best of patience in this, my newest journey, and so far it is paying off. I couldn't be happier. Good luck to you too!

Hey Bulldog.  Welcome to the LW board.  I think the people around here know the meaning of and teach patience, because as light weights, we don't see the dramatic losses that some other folks do.

Welcome.  I totally agree about making it work for you.  I don't want to feel deprived or not be able to eat what and when I want to.  But there are things that don't appeal to me anymore and that is good.  So far, the plan and I have been able to get in sinc.    It is a change we need to make for the rest of our lives.
