hi everyone
Not sure if I really am a lightweight or not...My highes weight EVER was 276, but that was the day I gave birth to my twins...my surgery weight was 254, do I qualify to be on this board?
Someone on the main board mentioned it, and I thought Maybe I might get a better idea of what to expect weight loss wise from people who started around the same weight as me. i am about 16 weeks out, and down about 57 pounds. I am totally stoked with my weight loss, but a little concerned with how slowly it has been coming off like the past three weeks...seriously it has been about 4 or 5 pounds total in 3 weeks! Is this a stall?? or is this what I can expect the weight loss to be like from here on out?
Hoping to get some replies and to be able to share this journey with all of you,
~Wendy~

The main board people know who belongs here and who doesn't. LOL
Of COURSE you belong here! You meet the criteria simply by showing up!! (amongst other things - LOL)
Scroll down to the thread titled "Confused??" posted by another person with the same questions as you. Later, when the other LW's wake up, you'll start getting more replies.
Glad you found us.

Weight loss is never predictable. You would think it would be. Eat X amount of food a day and lose X amount of weight per week. Some weeks you may lose a lot and the next hardly anything, even if you eat the exact same things. I know. I have been tracking my food and weight from the beginning and I am boringly predictable in my food choices and intake yet my weight loss has been very erratic. One month I might lose 2 or 3 lbs and the next 8 or 9 lbs. Just try to enjoy the ride and don't take the numbers personally.

Hi Wendy and welcome.
Your loss looks right on. You will likely have months that you lose pretty good and others that you don't. I only lost 4 lbs in Jan but lost 2 lbs a week in Feb. So just keep to your plan, exercise and it will start again. Your body just needs time to regroup from time to time.
You may want to post your meals on Miles and Meals. Tracking what we eat is so very important now and for the rest of our lives. Losing is only part of the battle. Most of us have done that a lot before. Then there is maintaining and we wouldn't be here if we could do that before surgery.

welcome to our lil' corner of OH heaven. Stick around, won't you?
Have you ever lost 57 lbs in 16 weeks before? Even Weigh****chers says 2 lbs a week average is alot, so comparatively, you're doin' well. I didn't lose any weight between day 16 and day 31 post-op. Today the scale finally moved a nice chunk. So stalls can happen at any time.
Are you drinking your 64+ glasses of no cal fluid? Getting your surgeon's recommended amount of protein? Exercising 30 minutes daily or darn near it? That's what folks told me to do.
thanks for finding us, and congrats on your weight loss so far.
