My dr is very adament about using the kids chewables for 2 weeks.  I did buy the liquid vit by Centrum. I was going to take that but smelled it and instantly wanted to throw up so  just chewed 1 of the chewables and I dont think my pouch likes it.  It seems to be very grumpy right now.  Any ideas?

Centrum makes a chewable.... its orange flavored.  Not bad tasting.   The kids chewable Vits arent the best choices for us.  Good luck,  Cindy

I got away from the kids chewables (of course I ate them all so I didnt feel like I was wasting money) but I also use the centrum chewables and really like them.
May also want to try taking them with some food to eliminate the grumpy ness, I take it with my greek yogurt in the mornings.
Good Luck!

Why does he want you to use a kids' vitamin that doesn't have the nutrients we need and when the ASMBS recommends against it?

Anyway, you can try a different brand.  I had to try several (adult ones, I'm not a kid, I need adult nutrition) to find one I could tolerate without being nauseous.

For just two weeks, I wouldn't worry that much anyway.  It's best to start your  multi right away but not getting one for two weeks won't do much damage.

Ugh Kim!!!!  Glad to see you online and hope you are feeling better each day.  I'm gonig to try the Centrum Orange, too.   My "Center of Excellence" has us on the kids chewables, too.  I have an appt next week and am going to question why?  Odd....

My favorite is CVS senior chewables.  I like the taste much better than Centrum.  My 6 month labs were good.

Price, a chewable better than Centrum??  Surely you jest!  LOL   Are they orange too?  Do they have iron by chance?  (and selenium)?  :-)

They don't have iron.  But my iron is through the roof with no suppliments.  Don't know about selenium.  Not orange but fruity something. And a lot cheaper.

Good to know!  I'll have to see where my iron is sitting.  :-)

My calcium pills are becoming quite tedious, and although it's cheap as all get out to buy them from Costco... I'm seriously on the hunt again for a decent chewable I think...   Any ideas??

Centrum chewables lack selenium, so the program that I went through, recommends supplementing with selenium 200 mg 3 times/week.
