I hate my chewable BA multi-vits and would love it if I could chew them both up at once and be done with it.

Is it ok to do so or will I mess up absorption??

Thanks!!

I think you need to space them out.

My Nut seems to think that I have to take them both at the same time in order for 100% to be absorbed.  Vitalady has them spaced out.  So, I'm not sure either.  Anybody else have an opinion?

P.S.  Centrum orange chewables are tolerable. Much better than BA, imo too.

Why would taking them together increase the absorption?  With some vites, we can only absorb a certain amount at one time.

I was told to space them out, so I take one in the morning and one in the evening.  I think you're losing some of the benefit by taking them both at once.

Wait--that means I am not taking the right amount of multis-  I have only been taking ONE pill a day.

The ASMBS says we need 200% of the RDA of things a day, and I've never seen a brand of multi that had that much in one pill.  With most good brands, you need two.

 Thanks Kelly.

I get my six month lab results next week, but I will up my multi to 2X.  I switched my calcium to the Vitalady Tender capsules with D and magnesium.  That is so much easier to take than the big calcium tablets and the separate magnesium tablets kept dissolving in my mouth.  Yuck!

Our nuts originally said to space them, then last month said that newer research said it was ok to take them together. HOWEVER, they could not provide me with a link to the research.

So I'm still spacing them out.

I'm using the CVS store brand chewable senior ones and they are pretty good.  Plus they go on sale every so often and you get 2 bottles for the price of one.  May want to try those.  My labs were good and I have been using them the whole time.
