Follow Up on the Panty Hose Catastrophe

It's been a crazy week or two, so I thought I'd update.

I am pleased to report:

The size SMALL leggings fit beautifully, I wear them to work out and now one mocks me or makes me feel like a stuffed sausage

Friday I bought size A panty hose, they fit perfectly as well. Although my engagement ring got caught in it when I put them on so of course, I put a run in them already. Good thing I bought a 3-pack

I weight a mere 6 pounds more than my 4'11" grandmother, and I am 5'5"

My scale is now my enemy and I will only give it satisfaction on Monday's (tend to be my lowest weight day, and my surgery was on a Monday, so it seemed a good choice).

Even though the scale keeps messing with my head, my skinny jeans are now loose on me and require a belt.

Said belt was from my size 13/14 days. It is black leather with grommet holes all the way around the surface in sets of twos. I had to cut off the actual belt notches and am just using the decorative holes to hook it on my body.

The belt my husband gave me months ago that was too small is now too large to wear, it's now in his pile since he lost a lot of weight on OUR journey as well.

My belly, while still a little saggy and wrinkly is now flat under my jeans, even without the compression wear I bought on Friday to help tighten up the last bit of it.

Please tell me about your victories! It keeps me on track and smiling

That is so great that you have had so many NSVs lately!!

I was thrilled this week to be able to wear a strapless size 12 sundress. I had a breast reduction a few years ago but even after it, I felt to heavy to go strapless. I have never worn a dress like this in my life and my dh's eyes about bugged out when he saw me in it (in a good way) LOL

I go on a girls getaway next week and I will be feeling healthy and confident for the 1st time in a long time!

So glad your skin is shrinking nicely! I hope mine continues to do so...it is super wrinkly and I still have 33 lbs to lose so we will see. My thighs are not so great...I am fair and thin skinned so the thighs just aren't springing back like I hoped. I am doing thigh abduction exercises to see if will improve.

Congrats on all your success!!

You are so awesome and inspiring!
I tried on a strapless gown, same one twice a couple months apart. It was a 10, couldn't get it zipped til i was an 8 and it made me look pregnant. Tried it on again as a 4, fit comfortably over my ribs now (still snug, but not crushingly so) but my poor boobs can't hold it up. I was not meant to wear it. Haven't been brave enough to go out and try another one on (this one was a hand me down). So, great for you! Especially for wowing your husband, those are the most important victories IMO

I do the abductor/adductor machine at Curve's like a fiend. the tops of my inner thighs are trying so hard to frim up, but are still kinda gelatinous :( but better there than the whole of my body, right?

Keep up the great work

Get a strapless bra - betcha that will hold the dress up and you'll look fabulous!

I fear pushing up my boobs might just show the excess loose skin rather than the cleavage...

Wow, what a great report.  You can be proud in so many ways.

I wish I could say my skin was tighening up but you younger folks have the advantage.  I can cover most of it up so let it flap if in needs to.  Better than being stuffed full.

I have daily happy dances :P I crack my DH up

I guess some people have the luck of the draw. I don't moisturize as much as I should, I just work the heck out of my body and hope for the best. But you are SO right, flappy and empty  is worlds better than plump and full of fat. Empty is easier to hide or redirect or give illusions of grandness to
