Good Morning. Going with the flow

Kind of going with the flow this week. Last week was bad at work and those of us that were left after the lay-offs were kind of on pins and needles. Thinking this week we'll just be slightly alert/anxious but just going with the flow. I hope I'll feel at peace enough to get outside and walk more. I really need to get in 4 walks a day and the push-ups to go with them.

I hope everyone has a great Monday and awesome week.

What's your plan for the week?

I love it when I turn the page in my calendar and there is nothing on the new week.  Well, of course, that doesn't really mean NOTHING, but nothing out of the usual.  So after the PCP appointment this morning, a normal week, at least so far.

I'm hoping that some/most of my labs will be back today when I go in.  I'm most curious about calcium and iron.  I had a problem getting the calcium in until I moved it with my morning and evening meds and I haven't taken iron the whole time.  So maybe that is why my hands are cold.  I'm also hoping I can come off my last BP med.  Wouldn't that be nice. It has a diuredic in it and I'm wondering if that will make me retain fluid if I give it up.  Anyway, it will be great to go in and be happy to hop on the scale instead of dreading it as I did for years (and the lecture that was bound to follow).

I'm working today, but my sisters are still here.  I left them my car and the GPS.  I'm hoping they'll have some fun.  I'm probably going to sneak out early and "work from home" this afternoon.  If I can get a ride home from the bus stop.

Sister #2 leaves tomorrow and Sister #1 leaves Wednesday.  DH is leaving tomorrow for a business trip too.  As much as I love having them around.  I'm looking forward to some time by myself.

This is catch-up week at work for me.  I've been out the last 2 weeks.  Tons on my plate.

I cancelled all my tutoring cients since this is Spring Break down here.  My teacher friends and I will go to lunch tomorrow and maybe go to the bra store Intimacy.

The real challenge will be Wednesday.  My dream post-retirement job just came through and I will be a contract trainer for an interactive white board company. But I have MAJOR jitters about my first presentation which is going to be for the tech department of the school board.  I can do this....I can do this... :)

Hope everyone has a peaceful week.

 Congrats Janet  !!

I bet U'll do a WONDERFUL job !  get Urself a rockin '  new suit with a bit of spandex in it for  that hot new bod  ( I think I'd love to see  U in either navy or Indigo with a spiffy white  cotton blouse ...) ..

Brooks  actually  had some very flattering  little  lined navy cotton poplin  jackets  n skirts n the well - fitting pants to go with them ... ..don't know if they still do ....let me see if I  have a pic.

I helped design the jacket for what its worth...

Congratulations Janet Whoo hoo ! on landing Ur dream post retirement job !!

Ur gonna do GREAT at Ur presentation .... and we'll swing lizards to make sure ya do

The best remedy forthe nervies for me has always been to look great ....

I'd love to see U in a navy blue cotton suit with a tiny bit of stretch with a spiffy white cotton blouse .... I designed a jacket very like this for Brooks ( the one I designed the sleeves are long and its lined OUTERWEAR that can also be worn as a suit jacket with a matching skirt or narrow pant ) ..

anyway Ive seen it on sale recently .. I own it and wear it its a nice flattering piece and the pant and skirt Three-quarter sleeve cotton pique jacket with a button mockneck. Grosgrain detail at inside side vents. Fully lined in Bemberg. 22 3/4 have rounded waistbands and are well cut and flattering too.. just something to think about ...

Good luck Beautiful !! Knock em dead !

Thanks.  The suit is beautiful.  The trainers wear a company collared T shirt.  It's a horrible orange and a T shirt is not my best look but the job is great.  Since my T shirt hasn't arrived I'm going with navy pants (they still fit), a Michael Kors orange silk sleeveless top with a beaded neckline and a patterned jacket from Coldwater Creek.  The jacket is fitted at the waist. It's tan with navy and orange flowers.  Sounds weird but it's really cute and I like how I feel in it.  LIke you said, how you feel is the most important part anyway!

Hi Gina!

I have a mid-year performance review today and have a major Lean Six Sigma presentation to do tomorrow - I hate this stuff....  I need to get through that, then sit and wait for another 10 days or so to see if I still have a job.

Morning Gina,
Hope this week is better than last week for you.

We have interviews all day today.  We had someone leave and are going to hire 2 part time people.  We had over 100 applications for part time at minimum wage - gives you a clue how bad things really are in the job market and we are in a small town.  I can't imagine the larger cities.

My BIL & SIL from Virginia are coming Thursday.  I'm so looking forward to seeing them.  I atleast got my house cleaned this weekend.  We will have a family supper Friday night at our house so everyone can visit.  I'm taking Friday off.  We are all doing a race/walk Saturday night.  Some are doing the 1 mile and some of us are doing the 5K.

Hope everyone has a great week.

Well, I know I'm late coming in but if I want to get anything done on my new project I have to do it first think in the morning as my tech admin is in South Africa (he moved there from England to get married) and it means I work around his schedule. I work with him from early morning to about 9AM and then from about 11PM till I collapse.

My current exercise is getting wallpaper off the kitchen walls. I've discovered that altho I thought there were two layers of wallpaper, there was only one, just two in a few spots. Whoever built this place did a BAD job of drywall. (yes, I watch too much DIY).

I managed to get one wall uncovered yesterday. I do one wall at a time, I am working my own schedule...no deadline, no schedule so no pressure. But it is good exercise.
