Another NSV

We went clearance clothes shopping today for just a few things...discovered I am in a 12!!!! Been wearing 16's since surgery.

Don't mind getting these at Kohl's as the daughter of my best friend wears a 12 and can have these when I am done with them.

Also, if you don't see me online, it's cause I'm either on my phone or iPad, my laptop is in the "hospital".

I hope so too. Something was wrong with the display, it flickered and this last week, it went black on me for no reason. Since it's not 6 months old yet and covered under Apple Care, I promptly walked me and it into a Genius Bar appt today. They kept it to troubleshoot. It's either the display or something in the hardware.

I thought I was stuck with the iPhone, iPad, or dh's puter but then it occurred to me, we still had the old Toshiba Laptop...so here I sit, updating it so I can use it. but until it is updated, the iPad is it.

Congratulations on the 12s! That was the size I was happiest to reach - everything else was just gravy!

That is super.  Wow, a 12.  Your's is a happy 12 I'm hoping.  I'd sorta like to skip size 12 altogether and go right to 10.

Here's my sad story about size 12.  

My mother just started work for a new store in town back in 1970 called Target.  They were trying to attract customers for their grand opening, and  were putting on a fashion show.  They were looking for models from employees and families.  My mom signed me up and on the registration form put down her daughter (me) was 12 and that she wore a size 12.  When I got to rehearsal, I found out, as did the organizers that unfortunately, I was a misses size 12, not a child's 12.  I didn't get the gig.  Too bad because the models got to keep the clothes.  

Although teased in school about being fat, and even subject to physical bullying, this was a defining moment in my realization that I really was fat.  That summer I tried my first diet, the Stillman diet I think.  Didn't work, nor did any others since.
