the low( er) carb adventure

I had a few tougher days .... for one thing there were many carby treats at Hubby's house and little sleep and too many restaurants and way too much boredom and frustration.

then I got back here to a serious business problem I just cant seem to escape or resolve . In the middle of this I got on the scale and no loss.... so ..

I also got to a point where I just didnt want to eat more protein PERIOD . And yet I was hungry . So fora few days , I ate ( largely fat free ) carbs ... the way I used to - whole wheat bread , beans , fat free chili ,wine and abit of rum in my coffee , even sugarless chewing gum.

Today Im back to eating meatballs in fat free low carby sauce ... and hopefully just veggies.

I don't know if this will help ... but anyway its the best I , Ava, can do right now ...

written as I'm packing my stuff to get away from this terminally unappreciative partner ..who is making no move to stop me ...

We just do the best we can and keep on.

I had something for breakfast from the low carb group.  Flax popover.  Easy and really good.  High fiber and may give you some of the "bread" taste you need.

1/4c ground flax
1/2 t cinnamon
1/4t baking powder
1egg
1pk splenda

Mix in a coffee cup and nuke for 1 min.

I could only eat 1/2.  The rest I'm going to toast with cheese for a snack later this morning.  Stats are good, calories  195, fat 9g, protein 12g carbs 9 fiber 8 (so net carb is 1) sugar 0.
Maybe too high fat for your liking but it is good fats that we need.

Flax is an awesome fat thanks Price     .    Well  he reacted in a typical  inexplicable "man "  way- he grabbed my keys and moved my car lol  somewhere I cant find it  .... and is  probably consulting a lawyer im guessing ....  not answering the phone GRRRR ....

He told me he'd  sign a settlement  two days ago ... I worked on it  all night and  morning and then he said  he'd " think about it "  .

so here we are ...

he grabbed the settlement doc too  so its definitely that  ..

At least you picked low fat carbs...I'd be eating potato chips and cookies.   After talking to my Drs. office I've been in the pretzels already this morning.
