Good Morning. TGIF Hoping for a great weekend
I did give the boss, who is also my friend, a big hug yesterday and it was reciprocated in kind. Poor guy has worked so hard to build his business. He says we'll know how to proceed in about 6 months. This no-budget-continuing-resolution thing is killing us. Swinging lizards he can find new opportunities and the national budget will pass soon.
Get ready to set your clocks forward 1 hour Saturday night. I'm there already, unfortunately. Newton had me up at 3AM again this morning. I'm going to take Linda's advise and put him up on the bed when we turn-in and see if he sleeps better through the morning.
I hope to get out in the yard some this weekend. I'd like to plant some prim roses and trim off some dead leaves here and there. I'm looking forward to our local farmers market opening soon. I'm really in the mood for fresh strawberries.
Y'all have a great Friday!

I'll be buying and planting some deck boxes there and also digging brand-new flowerbeds . The house is for sale but we have to make it look good ...
the deck boxes are coco lined iron ones from walmart (surprisingly cheap - 14 bux for a 30 incher an 9 bux fora 18 ) you cant beat that - mounting brackets included ! I need 9 of the 30 and 6 ofthe 18 to circle his railing .... yikes .
So I'm going to plant em with lightweight potting mix , water holder granules ( thats GREAT STUFF ) , manua and black mulch... underneath at the deck level I will also probably dig a bed and plant impatients , begonias etc. It will all make his small and weirdly shaped deck look a lot bigger and more welcoming .
I started tall ferny leafed cosmos white and red eyed white and pink ... to plant by the edge of the woods and draw the eye there and I will probably put a row of blue leaved hostas at their feet o make things look neat and mask their straggly bottoms . Will interplant with tall growing bronze leafed elecric blue Salvia there too if I can find it in a nursery ...
I love having a virgin garden to work on even when i will only be there one spring ! ( hopefully not even that )
My guys are gone to the beach to play golf so I have another 2 days to myself. Looking forward to their return since they are bringing DD home with them for a night before she flys back home on Sunday. Don't get to see enough of her.

I hope the budget passes for you soon too. The unknown is hard to take...
We're finishing up the bathroom hopefully tomorrow - well, most of it. We don't have the countertop or sink yet.... I started painting last night and it will need 2 coats... I'm focusing on the 2 walls he'll be doing the work on initially, then work to the other side of the room.
Still have a foot or more of snow on the ground. No spring planting for me yet. I plan on doing some windowboxes with some shade loving plants. Everyone here is sick of snow and winter. I heard no less than 3 times yesterday "hope this is the last snow of the year".. and guess what? Snowed again last night (enough to make the roads crappy)
Had a lady at work turn me in for using the internet for personal, so no more posting from work. I'm working from home today and waiting for an email from my boss to continue on my project...

I was so worried about taking this job with all woman and then a guy boss. Woman can be so petty. So far it's been good. There is only 1 woman (girl) who can be nasty but she can be really nice when she wants to be. I can't even imagine her going behind someone's back to complain because if she was upset with you, she be right in your face.

Little Willie woke us up early this morning - he was sick at his stomach. He had his teeth cleaned yesterday and they put him to sleep to do it. I guess it was being put to sleep that upset his stomach. He was snoring away when I left to come to work this morning!! Poor little thing.
I'm looking forward to the time change. Hope I can get up in the mornings, but it atleast gives me time to walk when I get off work since we will have more daylight.
I went and registered DH and I for a 5K next Saturday night. He said he would try. We will walk it because my knees just won't let me run much. I don't even care if we are last as long as we finish.
DGD#2 is coming to spend Saturday night with us. We have a Sunday School workshop at the Church tonight and tomorrow morning. Busy, busy weekend.
Hope everyone has a great one.
