We all look at it that way, but with our health conditions going away, our self confidence and loving our smaller size comes to the front - and there's NOTHING wrong with that.
I set a goal of 150 initially. Dr looked at me funny - hey - I hit 150 when I was 35 and looked great..
Don't be surprised if you see lower than 125. My opinion is go for the lowest so you can have the bounce back to a comfortable weight. Take advantage of your 12 to 18 months honeymoon period. Believe me - its a LOT harder afterwards!!
Good luck to you - I'm looking forward to following your progress and we LOVE hearing how you're doing along the way.

Hi Christina...
I had the same thing happen with my blood pressure. I was pregnant with my first child at 26 and came down with high blood pressure during the pregnancy. I thought after that whole ordeal I was down with it but it came back about 3 months after the pregnancy and never went away. Right now that is biggest battle. I am hoping that WLS will help with making my bp a little more managable.

Welcome to the LW forum. My husband and I are another LW couple. He had his DS in Dec, mine was 5 weeks later on Jan 24th. So we totally understand going thru this as a couple.
And yes, we all understand the "are you sure you're big emough to have surgery" comments? We all get them cause we all are so close to being "on the line". I just barely mananged to squeak in when I signed into the surgeon's office.
And we all love to ramble...I think that is the motto for this forum.
