Newbie
I am not a newbie to OH, just to this forum. I was unaware that there was a forum for lightweights. I would like to introduce myself. My name is Christina, just turned 39 and I am married. I have 2 wonderful children - my son is 17 and my daughter is 11. My husband had RNY on Jan 12, 2011. I had my surgery on Feb 15, 2011. It is nice to have my hubby as my support and doing this adventure together. When I started this process I was at my highest weight - 220 lbs. That was May 2010. By the time I had my surgery I had managed to get down to 194 lbs. I probably could have lost more, but I did at one point eat everything possible that I thought i would not be able to have after surgery. I am happy to say that when I weighed myself Tuesday @ 3 weeks post op, I weighed 176.6 - a total of 17.4 lbs since surgery. I don't think that is too bad since I was technically a lightweight. I don't know if many of you had this experience, I even had nurses question me when I had this surgery telling me that I was not "big" enough for this. I have suffered from high chlosterol since I was 19 (not even diet changes helped - just genetic dispositioned I guess), high blood pressure from the age of 20 (when I got pregnant with my son it never came down). Then about 2 years ago I started having stomach issues. I was diagnosed with gastropersis. That was the main reason for having this surgery, but I am hoping that the rest of my health issues resolve with this surgery. I am hoping to reach at least 140 lbs, but 125 lbs would be really nice. I am not sure where I will be at the end of this journey, but I know right now I feel better than I have for years. Sorry for all the rambling. I am excited that there is actually a place that I can go to for support for lightweights

Since we are all LW's we understand the "do you think you need surgery" comments. It won't be long until you hear "when are you going to stop losing" and "your getting to thin" comments. Enjoy them and start thinking up some really good answers because you are going to get them a lot.
Does Cheer in your name mean your 11 year old is a Cheerleader?

We have a comp in Pittsburgh this weekend and then off to Virgina Beach. I think I'm going to have to get my gall bladder out so I might miss that one. I'll probably be ready to go to Columbus but I'm not going to miss Worlds though.
Good Luck in Daytona!!

What is your height? I think the weight(s) you have targeted are very doable. I set myself a higher goal initially and beat it by almost 20 lbs... you never know!!
HW-218/SW-208/CW-126/ Lowest Weight-121/Goal-125 - hit 8/23/09/Height-5'3"
