Hi there Roz :)
I came back for a visit and saw your post. I'm sorry you are having GS. I had my GB out under unusual experiences when I was 6 mos pregnant with my .youngest. They did it laproscopically. Honestly, it was not bad at all. I remember telling people I've had worse teeth cleanings than that surgery. Honestly. And now I KNOW things are easier than 14 years ago even. Good luck, Roz.

Hi Roz: I had mine out about 15 yrs ago. It was the first surgery I ever had and I thought it sucked. Had a hard time getting up from a lying position and also in and out of bed. I thought my c-section and RNY was easier! I have matching RNY and GB scars! A co-worker just had hers out a few months ago and they went right through her belly button. Recovery was minimal she was back to work in 3 days. Good luck! hope you are all fixed up before your trip
Surgery for you will be next.
I had open gall bladder surgery and my RNY was much easier. I was out of work for 4 weeks. They will probably do yours lap and it is a very easy recovery. My DD just had hers out and was back at work in a week.
Good luck and be sure to keep us posted on when your surgery is.

I hope I take after your DD, Linda!! I've missed so many days helping my DD's deal with things and going on cheer trips that I don't have many days left.

God is walking with me every step of the way. Because of HIM this is possible!!

Hi Roz, don't sweat this one. I had my BG out three months before my Sleeve so it's all very fresh in my mind. I had surgery on Monday and took the entire week off. I could have gone back to work much sooner but kind of enjoyed laying around watching movies. You'll just want to take it easy for a few days. I went in early in the morning and was home by lunchtime. A few tiny scars and a quick healing process. My GB doctor told me that I'd be on a low fat diet for the rest of my life. Now 15 months later I can eat steak and anything else that I want.
I think GB was much easier than Sleevie.

I had mine two weeks after the birth of my daughter and it was super easy! I didn't even need a narcotic.....advil worked fine for me. I did have to stay overnight because after the removal of my gall bladder they found an additional gallstone stuck in my bile duct and had to do an extra endoscopic procedure to get that out..
All was easy, easy! You will be back to normal in 3 days tops!!! AND, you'll feel much better!!!
