Ommm Yea!
Loved the yoga class last night. It was held in the apartment's rec center??? nicely furnished with a rug on the floor that had a rug pad. The cushion from the rug and pad really helped me, I wouldn't have been as comfortable, or been able to hold some of the poses on the hardwood floor. I would have needed a thicker yoga mat for that surface.
The instructor helped my alignment some, but was not overly intrusive or critical and I didn't feel singled out, because she also re-aligned others. She turned the lights down pretty low, so I also didn't feel exposed. All in all, I thought it great. It was cool, but I did work up a sweat. There were about 10 women in the class, some couldn't do all the poses either. Afterward I felt virtuous, and strong and stretched and limber and oddly refreshed. This is just what I needed to round out the other exercise activities I've taken up. In fact, I think it a great antidote to running.

Hurray for you. That is what this journey is all about, getting our lives back and being able to do stuff.

Good for you! I enjoyed yoga, it was a beginning class and I thought the guy talked too much explaining the history of all the poses... so we didn't do as much stretching/posing as I'd like to have. But it was still a good experience.
If you continue you may want to go buy yourself a nice yoga mat - its well worth the investment, and I like that I'M the only one using it and not a bunch of other sweaty people...
