OT Vent Ex Husbands
So, tomorrow my baby girl gets married again. Well, she isn't a baby any more. She is 23 and has 3 kids of her own. And this isn't her first marriage. He was married at about 19. To the step brother of the man she is marrying now. But I digress.
She wants me to give her father, my ex husband, a ride because the loser doesn't have a car. Or a job or a home even. He lives with his parents. And his last wife kicked him to the curb. I love my daughter. And she wants her father there. Or he guilted her into it. But God I don't want to deal with him. He's an idiot. How am I going to drive for 40 minutes with him in the car and keep my mouth shut? At least we won't be alone. My youngest will be with me. She hates him, too.

Believe me, I know. I was even the one to offer it initially. I asked my daughter if her father would be there and she said he wouldn't because he didn't have a ride so I offered to give him a ride. Everyone deserves to have both their parents at their wedding and every parent wants to see their child get married.

Make him sit in the back seat, behind you, so you don't have to look at him in the mirror. Put the wedding gifts, coats, ANYthing on the other side so you can't see him. Pretend he is not there. Save up any comments you have for the ride back after the wedding is over. That would be the appropriate time to open your mouth if you feel the need. GOOD LUCK!!
