Good Morning. Peeling the onion

Peeling the onion back is the terminology we use for the work I do in data analysis. I kind of like it....and sometimes it can make you cry. lol  Anyway, I presented my initial layer of data analysis yesterday to our client and he was quite pleased. Validation feels sooo good!  I have my mission for today and next week...and I'm good at this stuff. I'm a happy introverted camper today!

I also have a doctor's appointment with my PCP to talk about my osteoporosis today. I'm taking her a recent study about WLS patients and the treatment for osteoporosis. Seems Fosamax and other oral treatments aren't the best route to take with us. Injectable treatments are better. I would like to come off the Fosamax and give an injectable treatment a try for a year. We'll see if I can talk her into it.

What's on your plates and to-do lists today?

Happy Friday!

I have  a theory about that Gina ...  though I'm compliant about most vitamins I  ALWAYS forget my citracal   .   Im lucky if i take it once a day , and  on average thats once every TWO days probably since my surgery .

So  all the oral  fossamaxes aren't going to help if U don't have enough calcium in Ur bloodtsream ....  GRR

Hi Gina!

Congrats on the data analysis.  That's what I get to do today for work...

I changed my work arrangements.  Before I worked 7- 9's and 1- 8 and had every other Friday off.  I just changed it to work from home 2 days a week.  Mondays and Fridays.

I drive 45 minutes one way to work now and with these gas prices and my gas guzzler, I'll save almost $150 a month.  I've considered getting another car, but there's the "pay back" threshold that would take quite awhile to meet.  Saw a real pretty red convertible yesterday too that would do the trick - lol... I have to have some control though.  I'll find out March 25th what the reorganization is going to do to my job.

For today: Working from home.  Not sure what the rest of the day will be like.  My DD, SIL and DGD may come up tonight.  I hope they do.  They haven't been to Tom's yet and I'm trying to get them to stop here for the night, go to breakfast with us, then they can head up to her dads'.

Calcuim was the one I always forgot until I added it to my morning and evening instead of trying to remember it during the day.

I am suppose to have my labs drawn by next Tues and I haven't gotten my lab order yet.  I have called, emailed and will call again today.  They are seriously limiting my options for times unless they get the order to me.  My 6 month appt is 3-21 and I am excited to see how I am doing.

Potatoes, parsnips and sugar snap peas are on the agenda for planting in one bed today and broccoli, collards and lettuce in another.  I'm sure I will have to cover the greens sometime before the spring is really here but I couldn't help buying the sets yesterday.  I'm also putting in a thornless blackberry bed, so will start the prep for it today.

Today starts my weekend.  Since the weather is somewhat reasonable today, I think DH and I will venture into the city and perhaps go to a museum or visit another attraction.

It'll feel good to not feel housebound now that the weather is a little better.

Glad it's you, babeee and NOT me!!! I would be bored to tears, LOL Now, sit me in front of a computer and and let me design something, HOURS will pass before I come up for air. Or have me researching something...anything, and I usually start hunting for one thing and head off in tangents.

Did you know they had a search engine designed for people like me? Too bad it no longer exists, but it was perfect. You started with one term and could go off on tangents all day long. You might never find your way back to the original term but it was great.

And yes, I talk the same way in real life too.

Dh has his yearly physical with his pcp today which also will also include his 3 month lab work for Dr. Pomp. And he had a NSV this morning, he got into a pair of 36 pants this morning.

Today I am peeling the onion which is my closet...it also makes me cry LOL. I am listing my nice plus size items on ebay. It may take a year as I have TONS of stuff! I have donated alot but need some funds to offset all the new clothes I have bought. Good problem to have so I'm not complaining!

So organizing and purging is my priority for awhile...luckily I love rearranging and labeling. Amazing how smaller clothes fit on my clothing racks so nicely...not crammed and hanging out.

I will be curious to hear what happens with your doctor, Gina. I have found calcium is much easier now that I use powder in my protein drink.

I am working from home today. It feels so wonderful after 5 weeks straight of travel. Just one more big trip on Sunday to Seattle. It is an intense work week, but I get to stay with one of my closest friends at her beautiful home on the bay. I can hardly wait to see her and her mom and husband. Fantastic people!

I was supposed to start my bellydancing class tomorrow but it was postponed for a week. I just want to start while I have a big belly to shake!

I am headed to my monthly support group for gastric bypass patients. Booking a pot roast in the slow cooker and making plans for my 47th birthday on Sunday. Good luck with your appointment.
