Sabotage

I am post-op day 18 and on full liquids. Today, I was meeting a friend (who had VSG a year ago) and told her I had to run to the cafeteria for milk for my "lunch" (I mean protein shake). She said she would bring it to me. She stopped at Dunkin' Donuts and brought me a large whole milk (she said she thought I could use the calories and fat right now) and donut holes. I thanked her, but declined the donut holes and she said that they are soft and shouldn't be any more difficult to digest than my full liquids.

She's been through this already. She knows what got me into this position. Why would she bring me donuts?

Just venting because I know you guys would understand.

What the hell? Was she successful with her weight loss? That's really bizarre behavior for someone who has had VSG.

YEAH  !!  what Abby said  !!

jes thinking .... there are  a lot of people I've kind of had to cut loose over the years . People  I really liked ( and like ) as people  who were simply not ready or  not willing to try  not to be miserable in their active addiction.

Wether its to excess food or any other  substance .. addiction is very depressing to see and befriend because its such a crying shame and such a waste of precious time and talent .

I  had  eating buddies  but im  happy to say  that most of them  are  content   to be non- eating buddies now  -  driving adventure  buddies or concert buddies  or even hiking buddies .  They don't seem to pressure me to eat  their way anymore , thank God .

I don't think I could BE around someone scarfing  down Dunkin Donuts lol ...

That is just bizarre. Donut holes? I get the whole milk and have less problem with that than skim milk, but donut holes???

If I had to guess my first instinct is that she is afraid you will lose more weight then her.

Thanks. My dog is saying "look at meeee!!!!" in this picture. That was her shelter picture and she sure wanted out of there. Besides, she thinks everyone loves her, which of course, they should since she's perfect.

Awwwww... how sweet!  Love people *****scue from shelters... She is a beauty for sure!  My bichon is a rescue and is grateful every day!   He was in the kitten room on the bottom level in a corner sitting there shaking.  He was pathetic -- I got him in the car and he immediately came to life.  Stink and all!  LOL
