Hi Jody, you are right, I am no different then anyone else here and being able to share my experience is key. Regarding the adult beverages, I am committed to finding away to consume them in a healthy way and I know I will get there.

I'm really on a tear with the book writing my head off.

Thanks for the support.

Welcome home Andrea and congrats on the great progress on all fronts.  65lbs is great and so is better health with no diabetes.  Sounds like it has been a tough but discovering year.  Come around when you can.  We are here for you.

You've said it all. Welcome home. I feel like for the first time in my life I am coming home to myself and I need to be on this board sharing, supporting and learning. It has been the toughest year of my life aside from the year my mother died when I was 15.

It's been very painful, but I am grateful for all  my learning. This music video really speaks to how I've been feeling. Not to mention the singer, Adel has a beautiful voice.

Congrats on Ur surgiversary Andrea  !

I'm so glad to see U post !  U look  wonderful by the way    .     I'm glad U  found a career path that's a better  fit  but for what its worth  I think the therapeutic field is losing someone great  ....

Its rare  that  Therapists are  self-aware and Humble enough  to say hey ... I'm not a perfect specimen and neither is my path  .... and that is precisely what makes a GREAT therapist  often... because *****ally wants a counselor  who essentially (( even in the most well meaning way  ) forces them to do what worked for THEM  when a therapists real job is to actively listen and help  each individual patient  discern their OWN path  ....

But  I DO think there  is a lot to teach on the cooking level too !!

I think ,bottom line, Ure trying to help people  like us and thats SO wonderful and commendable .

U GO Grrl .... huge  hugs Ava

Hi Ava, thank you so  much for your support. I realize my post read wrong. I am planning on working as a therapist with folks like us, but I am also doing the cooking and nutrition training because I think this will be a valued added aspect to  my ability to help people.

I agree with all you've said here about what great therapists do and this is what I intend to be. Thanks for the support. I really appreciate it.

Happy surgiversary, Andrea! I've sure missed you around here. I'm glad you've made some decisions and I hope you'll be happy following through with them. Please stop in more often if you can.

What an important year for you, Andrea. It sounds like you were not only progressing in addressing major health and career issues but also facing some of your inner demons. Congrats. Here's to another important year!

Happy surgiversary, Andrea. Wow, you have a lot planned. I ADORE historic homes. Wish I could find a really old one here to renovate.
