shifting port?

I also posted this on the band site, but since this is such a wonderful/helpful board, I thought I'd post here too in case any bandsters had some insight:

I noticed earlier that the spot where I can feel my port seems to have shifted.  I never felt it all that defined until my first fill two weeks ago, and it was below my scar.  That's where the needle mark is too.  But today i noticed that it feels like the port moved up - - it's now above my scar.  I generally feel ok.  My port area is tender, but is has been since surgery.  I tend to get overly anxious about this stuff so I'm going to call my surgeon's office tomorrow, but has anyone else experienced this?  Is it normal for the port to move a little, or does everyone else's stay put?  Appreciate any insights.  Thanks so much.

I haven't heard anyone speak of this so I hope the surgeon's office will set your mind at ease. Please keep us in the loop though. If you need some swinging lizards we can do that for you.

I have had several friends complain about port slippage and have had to have it fixed. They are not on this board and I have no clue what it looks or feels like but I feel that calling the surgeon is a great idea! Let us know how it goes ok.

Thanks guys. I'll keep you posted.  On the band board, they said that sometimes the port seems like it's in different positions when you're lying down v. standing, which may be the case here.  Regardless, I'm going to check in with my doctor today.  will keep you posted!
