I am wondering what foods do you find yourself eating now,  that you would have never dreamed of putting in your mouth when you where 6 months out from surgery??

I am trying to put togethor a list of foods I want to stay away from since I have gained about 12lbs.  I am just curious what others are eating or if I am the only bad one.

Bites here and there of desserts.  I still stay under 10 grams of sugar at a time because I still dump, but I've learned that if I wait an hour then I can have another bite.... so, I can't have them in the house!!!

I think avoiding carbs and increasing your Protein is the only way to get those extra pounds off.

Pretty much everything I shouldn't be eating EVER.  I'm a chip aholic - I have to keep them out of the house or I'll eat them ALL in a few days.  Once I start on cookies Its hard to stop.  I just don't have ANY of that stuff in the house.

I do pretty good staying away from simple carbs and try to limit complex ones (wheat breads/pastas) too.

Oh - alcohol.  That's my biggest demon at the moment.  Definitely like my evening toddy or two.  Actually I eat pretty good - its my "get home and relax" time that does me in....

I've gained 7-8 lbs too.  I'm working on getting them off..

I don't believe in good or bad food just good or bad choices ... so I eat everything, it's just some of it I eat hardly ever and in very small portions and other stuff I eat every day. LOL

Anyway, I'm with Roz and Jody - emphasize protein, avoid carbs and alcohol. That's what I do when I want to drop a pound or two.

ETA and water... drin****il you slosh!

Carbs esp simple ones, like chips and cookies. Even one is too many for me. I learned it the hard way at 6 months out and have spent months 7,8,9,10,11 getting back to status quo. I am trying to get back to not eating those things pretty much ever.

Though I lost some in those months,I yoyo'd more than in the first 6 months and I really don't like that. I would be closer to goal if I had avoided the cdarbs altogether.

mmm..im a very  quick n easy dumper and yet  I've been doing a lot of fat free and  largely sugar free  baking and  having a slice  or a few cookies here and there....

a lot of  pasta ,usually dreamfields low carb or  whole wheat but not always

a  good amount of alcohol , usually " healthy "  dry red wine  but occasionally  Frangelico a sweet Italian hazelnut liqueur in my coffee

what HAVen;t I been  doing -  eating healthy salads  as much as I should because they take time to make  ( and baking's easier ?)

having healthy  one-person  fresh veggie stir fries  and  imrpomptu soups  when I get hungry rather than serious  MEALS

drinking enough WATER  not nearly by a LONG shot
