I am NO LONGER OBESE!!! (BMI is 29.9 today)
I tipped the scale at 171.8 this morning which put my BMI at 29.9 this morning, I am not longer OBESE. I cracked the Morbidly Obese heading into surgery so that one was an early on victory. This one took a bit longer.
I've been watching the scale all week cause I knew this one was coming.
Another one is close behind it...cracking the 170 mark, I haven't weighed less than 170 since my early 30's. I was in the military and weighed 155 when I got out, I blossomed quickly to 165/170 by the time I hit my mid 30's and haven't seen anything lower since then. So I will be heading into somewhat new territory for me...territory I haven't seen since I was 20-35 years old.

Tracey, you'll get there yourself. As dh says, it's not a race, we just get there in our own time. Liz

Don't be scared! You can do this, I can't tell you how many calories I take in each day, since I am terrible at keeping track...but I can tell you right now I don't exercise 3 hours a day! I may have been a lucky one, I don't know...but other than my every day work which I am up and down...and walking when I can, I haven't put a lot into the exercise part. ( I didn't want to drop fast, I am a closet sleever). But that didn't work for me...I did drop fast. I did follow all the rules and ate my protein first and always...I still do. I am a year out, and was at goal both which were my goals very fast. I agree...do not compare yourself to anyone as hard as it is. This is a tool that will work, just follow the eating rules! And be happy...
Tracey,
I don't think people exercise 3 hrs a day. The ones that say they are? Are likely lying or don't have to work. Remember that exercising isn't limited to gym, too. It counts if you take the stairs instead of the elevator, park a little farther away from the grocery store, etc. I have lost 30 lbs so far, and I eat about 600-1000 a day and exercise about 30 mins-1 hour (sometimes 2 if I have tkd and then kettlebells on the same day), 4-6x a week. The calories, well, once you are on solids and have really good restriction and won't be able to eat much unless you are grazing, so 600-800 is totally doable. You'll be fine, Tracey. :) Don't stress!!
