 Well I think U must be a saint .

Personally  I read everyone I know the riot act .  No FOOD SMELLS around me .  NO FOOD IN THE CAR  , even when im NOT THERE  .... because  like a DOG i can smell it an HOUR later  .....

I told them  I was  going to have  the  WORST  CASE of PERMANENT  PMS    for the next six weeks theyve EVER IMAGINED !!  They'd be lucky if I didn't get a gun and shoot em all .....

They BELIEVED  me !!  ( Trust  me NOTHING scares guys more than PMS !!  LOL !! they truly walked on eggshells for six weeks and I only caught them eating Arbys  twice when i wasnt there .... sniffing the car ...  .  That  stuff is so  gross anyway   even  a STARVING  woman wouldn't eat it  lol.

Good luck Hun !

Well I did warn everyone especially my hubby that I was probably going to be extremely witchy.  He laughed and said what is new. LOL  I do have to say lastnight was pretty rough and my 8 year old daughter was being horrible.  I had everything that I could do not to loose it.  I just had to take a step back and let my hubby deal with her behavior before I said something I shouldn't.  Hunger can make you really ugly. LOL  But here I am on day 3 of 14 and yes I am hungry but I am surviving.  :)

I found the pre op full liquid diet to be very difficult and I had super support from my DH.  He did liquids with me for the first 3-4 days while at home (I think he ate a solid lunch at work).

I did not cheat once and I lost 15 pounds in those 2 weeks.  It was a personal challenge I set myself.  I figured I was spending so much money and risking my life for this surgery, that I really owed it to myself to do everything possible to make sure I succeeded.   Not to say, I didn't sometimes retreat to the bathroom upstairs and hop into the tub filled with non-food scented bath oils (no sugared vanilla anything for me) when my DH was cooking for himself.  There may have been a few frustrated tears spilled into the tub too.

Oh, and it is so gratifying, because now the tub water covers so much more of me and a tub soak is now becoming one of my favorite indulgences.  Can't wait until I'm thin enough to get completely immersed.

Hang in there and I hear ya, sista! We have our surgery on the same day and I am just starting day 3 (it's only 6am here!) I haven't cheated once either!

I agree with adding the chocolate protein powder to warm water for hot chocolate. I also gave up coffee last week, so the "hot chocolate" taste is helping with the loss of my coffee!  Plus we are having all kinds of snow this week in Spokane so with the cocoa I feel like its a treat!

I also found that drinking lots of water and going to bed early does help too.  I was craving real food for dinner last night with the fam, so I added a little greek yogurt to my soup and tickened it up a bit. Tasted gross but I ate every last drop since I was so hungry!!  Down 2 lbs in two days, so that is what is motivating me.

You'll do great!

I'm on the last day of my liquid diet--surgery's tomorrow. It hasn't been *too*bad, although I have a hard time watching tv, what with all the food commercials, which I can almost smell through the screen, lol. Today's clear-liquids-only, so that might be a different matter. Hour by hour, I'm creeping closer to the loser's bench...

Sounds like you are doing awesome.  Good luck with the surgery tomorrow.  I can't wait to hear how you are doing post-op
