In honor of March being National Nutrition Month......
could you dear experienced LW Goddesses suggest some yummy blended/puree/mushy food recipes for us newbies? Also, any tips or hints to avoid problems?
I found some great vegetable recipes with LF ricotta cheese (can put protein powder in), also thin hummus and thin guac/avocado. Tomorrow is day 1 of 21-28 puree days.

Yikes, that's a lot of days on purees! I think I was allowed scrambled eggs on my mushy stage, but I can't remember. Anyway, if it is, I scrambled some egg with a little frozen spinach and a pinch of feta. Also the ubiquitous blended chili. I have heard of people blending chunky soups, too. I also got some chicken and broccoli from PF Chang's and pureed that because I needed something flavorful by that point. I couldn't eat much, but it sat very well! AND TASTED LIKE HEAVEN. :D I also ate V8 veggie soups in the carton. The broccoli is good drizzled with a touch of extra virgin olive oil. The red pepper is kinda good with a small dollop of plain greek yogurt. :) I also ate greek yogurt, speaking of greek yogurt... I think cheeses count in mushies, too. That's all I can think of for now.. I think I wanted to put that stage way behind me once I got on solids. :D OH! I do remember making disgusting canned corned beef hash. heh
P.S. you've heard of the world according to eggface, right?

I ate whatever I was cooking for the family, pureed. One of my first was a pot roast. My favorite, however was chicken soup that my sister made for me and pureed. She froze that and a stewed chicken and froze it in ice cube trays so I could get out 2 cubes for a 1/4c meal anytime. Real food tasted so good and at that point, I was eating 6 "meals" a day.
Some tricks, just be sure to start off pureeing with less water/liquid than you think you will need. I ended up with several things being pretty liquid insead of just mushy.Do your meat and veggies seperately because you should still be getting in your protein first, then veggies if you have room. I still use ice cube trays to freeze leftovers that fit. Very handy.

I had egg salad every morning. Boiled egg, lite mayo and finely diced pickles -put it in the magic bullet and blended until smooth. Sometimes I crumbled a little cracker over it.
I also loved my double protein milk and hot chocolate. Cup of milk, 2 tbls dry non-fat milk and make hot chocolate with Diet Swiss Miss Hot chocolate mix.
Ricotta cheese bake - ricotta cheese w/ marinara sauce and heat in microwave - there are several varieties of this.
Fat free refried beans w/ some cheese melted - blended good.
I pretty much ate anything just added liquid to it and blended in my magic bullet. I used non-fat gravy to make it mushy.
