IF ( and its a BIG IF ) I can talk myself ACROSS the STREET , into getting NEKKID and into my 1930's swimming pool sized tub ..... its truly a luxurious spa like totally relaxing experience of exfoliation , releasing of toxins through hours of intense heat and finally ... deep slumber . I rarely let myself do this though ... I don't exactly know why . Maybe my body knows to turn to the fridge , to the popcorn machine and TV, to even the red wine bottle ( naughty ) .. like the horse goes to the barn .... its hard to reprgram her subconcious wiring . But im TRYING !!!
Ava, I had to laugh because I have a pool downstairs and a brand new 8 person sauna that I have never been in. I keep saying I'm going down there to sweat and let go of pounds and toxins but it hasn't happened yet. Last night my friend Nancy (lives upstairs) and I were saying that we should have one night that we really pu**** extra hard in the gym, then head straight into the sauna.
I envy you your tub. Mine is one of those crappy shallow tub/shower units that was here when I moved in. I've never been in it during the 7 years I've lived here. I just use the stand up shower in the guest bathroom.

Wow Lee what an amazing luxury ! My Parents have one in their place in Palm Beach too and boy does it work to really detox U fast ( and helps U lose weight AND get great skin too ;) )
Here's the trick with the sauna - turn it on to its highest setting BEFORE ur workout ( so leave it on for an hour ) - it takes THAT LONG to really get hot enough to work . Also before Ur shower dump a buncha water on the coals...making it a little steamy ( its a LOT more comfortable that way ) .
DONT wear plastic contacts in there ... and keep using a LOT of the water on the rocks ... the steam makes it work faster ..... Ull be way more comfortable ... and if U get too hot just run and jump in a cold shower for a minute and get back in ( or just stand outside , catch Ur breath and get back in)
Bringing a magazine and a book light works too ...sometimes friends complain a lot ...
Ur head may hurt after the first time and U may feel EXHAUSTED ..both signs that U sweated out some major toxins ..then it will get a LOT better and a lot easier ....
The sauna/steamroom is one of those essential things in every jockey lockerroom and every model's apartment building because it WORKS to really help keep extra weight at bay . Ull see that even short ten or fifteen minute sweating sessions after Ur workout will seemingly miraculously start those pounds dropping off !
Its also an AWESOME drug- free ( and very effective ) way to get rid of colds and flus by simply raising Ur core body temperature ....
