What are your top three recent NSVs?
#1 Coming off my insulin pump within a week after surgery. Then coming off insulin altogether.
#2. Losing 23 inches in the first month.
Don't have a number three yet but only a month out.

tracey,
I terms of long term mindset, you should think about get the audio version of this book ... he makes points that I don't think I've heard altogether in one place and really makes you look at how the goal is for you to stay in control ... "Structure gives control" ... I think it would especially appeal to you and your desire to be organized/prepared.

Thin Commandments by Stephen Gullo
1. Starting to run for short periods of time on the treadmill. I have never, ever done this in my entire life.
2. Being able to do pushups. When I started with the trainer, back in December, I couldn't do one push-up or sit-up. For the past two weeks, I have been able to do 3 sets of 10, interspersed with ab work. I am so much stronger and healthier, stronger, and more energetic than I was 3 months ago.
3. My clothes keep getting larger and I have to buy smaller sizes, including shoes.
4. The many compliments that I receive from co-workers and other people, regarding how healthy I look. I feel it.
5. My PCP said that I looked "perfect" but he still wanted me down a bit more. Maybe, to allow for bounce back?
