I know I've been amiss and have not been consistent in posting this thread... but please forgive me!  I hope to do better in the future!

I haven't really acquired anything new lately.  I'm moving my closetS over to Tom's and there just isn't any room for anything else, and no room for everything I have... I even walked away from a pair of the cutest shoes at Payless yesterday.  Mainly because I can't wear toeless spikey heels at work, and don't go anywhere else to wear them...

But today I'm wearing skinny black jeans with a long red sweater with black belt and black scrunchy boots.  I was told by 2 people today its a nice outfit.

I've been wearing just jeans and sweaters to work this winter.  I've always worn dress clothes and got tired of freezing my rear (and feet and legs) off in the office.  Its a very casual place, so no one really cares.  Plus I do believe you can still look nice in jeans as long as they're clean, in good shape with no holes, etc.

I'm trying REAL hard to train Tom on what to wash (clothes) and not together.  He just throws EVERYTHING together in the washer.  Well yesterday he washed towels with my sweaters - can you say "fuzzy fur balls" all over them?? Man was I ticked - and I had already told him NOT to do that.  I think I'm going to tell him I'll just wash my own clothes.  I handed him one sweater and the battery powered defuzzer.  I have another sweater I may just have to throw away I can't get them off.  Its woven very loosely and they're imbedded everywhere.  When I wear this sweater I wear a cami under it.

Any ideas on how to get fuzzy balls off besides the defuzzer?  I've tried lint rollers, sticky ones, brush ones, etc... no help.

Hope everyone is having a good Thursday!

LOL !!! Jody Ur life sounds like a cute comedy series :) - a Rom- Com :)

I have a my own four legged fuzzy furball depositer ....lint brushes seem to help some but once n a while people ask ... do you have a cat ... so obviously not TOTALLY ....LOL....

Males are totally forbidden on pain of death to touch my clothes ... even moving from washer to dryer is VERBOTEN .... ( lycra containing things never get dried ) . even my housekeeper isnt allowed to wash most of my clothes ...

This is the way I started her out .... i bought 4 matching white plastic top loading hampers for the dressing room - first one whites ( to be washed on hot with bleach ) , second one pales ( to be washed on warm with natural color preserving detergent , third one darks ( to be washed with dark detergent on cold ) fourth one silks and fragiles NEVER TO BE TOUCHED except by me

we've had a LOT less mishaps since . Even she cant figure out the lycra no lycra thing so I handle the dryer she handles the folding and the ironing and the putting away ...

The system works pretty well because everyone understands it so its pretty easy to tell when U have enough to make up a load ... ( or just grab the whites when U have have a load of white sheets for example ) . Even the landlord will grab my whites when he's doing his white t shirts and feel safe that he won't get yelled at ...

the outfit sounds very cute but I'd like to see it .... I'm sure U rocked it though with Ur teeny-tiny lil waist I envy so much !

Yea - and he was fascinated at the defuzzer and actually enjoyed doing it.  I'll remind him he has another sweater to do tonight - need to find more batteries.

I wish we had that much room.  He lives in this small 2 bedroom 1 bath house - I moved my 1400SF condo into his 1100 SF house that was already full... we had to get a storage unit and bunches of stuff is going over there.

I'm going to take a good look around the garage and see if I can find room for another wardrobe.  I did convince him the wardrobe with the motorcycle stuff STAYS in the garage - NOT the shed (no micey in my boots!).

He's trying real hard to accomodate me... its trying for both of us!  I did tell him yesterday it wasn't too late for me yet to go back to the condo.. he didn't care for that!

Oh - and he's rearranging his bathroom to add me my own vanity/sink.  I made a suggestion that really makes a lot of sense to him last night.  He's trying to figure out how it will work.  Of course I'm moving plumbing, electrical, dryer vents.... oh well...

You're system sounds too confused for me.

All our clothes are sorted into two piles, whites and darks and everything is washed in cold unless it is really dirty or something is really needing to be washed on warm or hot. I so seldom use hot that I can't remember the last time I used it.

But then most of our clothes are cottons. Even the undergarments. I do the washer but dh has charge of moving from washer to dryer and we both fold and hang up.

System has worked well for almost 15 years.

LOL!  When we were first married (like a million years ago), DH tried to help me with the laundry one Saturday when I was working overtime.

He made 2 loads: one colored, and one white, and washed each load on hot and dried them on hot.  All my wool sweaters (this was one of the coldest winters on record in the Chicago area) came out the size of doll sweaters.

I, being evil, replaced them out of his beer money, and he hasn't touched anything but his shop laundry (shop rags, car covers) ever since.

Suits me, as I don't mind laundry at all!

And yet another laundry tale... this one even older...

When I was in junior high, my mom went back to college for a teaching degree.  Being an organized sort, she set up 3 baskets for clothing in the bathroom: white, light, dark.  Each basket held one load of laundry.  She then made sure that my brother and dad and I all knew how to do the laundry.  The system was SUPPOSED to be that whoever's stuff filled the basket did the load.

My dad kept stuffing his stuff under my brother's and mine so that he didn't have to do it.  LOL!  I guess that's where I learned to not mind it - and he DID do the cooking (which I've never learned to like), so it all worked out.

No cute new clothes this week, but great shoes last week at Kohls with a 30% off coupon... nude nubuck peep toe sling backs, and olive green ballet flats that are just adorable!

I was just thinking today that   getting rid of stuff makes one YOUNG  .... .  We're  all way too ruled by our possessions  ..

gosh  I never  wanted to be the custodian/caretaker  of a  COLLECTION  ...  God Forbid .... so many far better ways  to spend a LIFE ....

I think what U and Tom are doing is  really romantic and adorable ... and BRAVE  too.  I love that about U Jody  . the  motorcycle riding , the adventurousness ,  the young  ( incredibly young !  ) hottie under the responsible( but beautiful )   GILF exterior ... we can ALL learn from U  ... .....

I have been obsessed with buying dresses lately which is crazy because I don't have occasion to wear them very often. lol  I am trying to be ultra thrifty too so it's a challenge.  I found one yesterday at Ross for $15.99 (which is a size 6 I might add!!), and three on Ebay for $19.99, $24.99 and $29.99 respectively.  I will post the ebay pics below and I will post pics of me in them when I get the whole outfit put together.

Obviously I'm in the mood for pattern and color these days! lol
