Welcome to the LW board, I hope you are able to find comfort, advise and support here. I know I have.
You need to take a breath and not get down on yourself. You have taken the first steps to getting your healthy body back. Your surgeon is going to be the best person to share with you what your medical options are- prior to going to see him I would recommend you do as much research as you can regarding your surgery options. Until you see your Dr. and are given a surgical option (if you have one) try going back to basics you may not be able to loose all your re gain but you should be able to loose some. Try to measure everything you eat. Eat dense protein first. No drinking anything 15-30 before meal and 30-60 after meal. Up your protein and lower your carbs. All the stuff you did the first days post op. If nothing else it will help you re train your brain for your revision. Good Luck and keep reading and posting. Kristi

Welcome to the LW board. I hope you get yourself sorted out.
If you do end up a revision, I suspect you will need to find a revision surgeon and look at possibly going for a DS, which will allow you a chance to take NSAIDS for all your pain issues. It will also give you the best chance of losing the regain.
Check out dsfacts.com and ask all the questions you need to ask.

Thanks for your responses..I feel better already..when I stopped coming to the site to talk with people like myself is when I started sliding..and of course the injury didnt help..one of you mention water exercises..I know it will be hard for you to believe..but I am terrified of water...I mean terrified..I almost drowned when i was a child and it is hard for me to even drive or ride accross a bridge..and I won't if the water is up or swift..I have been on my treadmill the past two months..and have worked my way up tp 14 minutes..at a slow pace..not a lot but something and using hand weights..the truth is my aches and pains are killing me slowly and the weight is hurting me really bad..I go to my surgeon in the morning..I do hope he has some good advice for me..I am sure he will and his staff is great..thanks again to all of you and keep up with your WL..if you gain 5 loose 5..that is what I should have done..God Bless you all..

Have you tried the revision board? I haven't been over there, but you may read some and see what they're saying there.
As far as weight gain - I'm with you on that! I'm up 10 lbs over my lowest and really need to get back on track before it gets to be any more. I do exercise, but haven't this winter. That's my problem... No excuses -I even joined a gym! Ok, I got a boyfriend in the meanwhile and he's taking all my time but I'm starting to take it back for myself (once I get moved).
Prioritize your life to take care of yourself first. I agree with going back to the basics. How's your restriction? Perhaps doing the 5 day Pouch Test may get you back into the swing of things. Are you still drinking protein drinks?
I know - lots of questions! good luck at the Dr's tomorrow and let us know how it goes.

First off congrats on the new boyfriend..and yes take that 10 lbs off before it is 15..take back your life and take care of you..the new boyfriend will still have enough time with you ..I noticed that if I eat chicken I fill up fast..but if I eat things like chips and popcorn just stuff like that I can eat for hours..I still get sick on real sweet sweets..there is no excuse really..I have just let myself go..I thought the weight loss surgery was a miracle and I would never gain weight..well I am here to tell you I was wrong..of course injury and ache and pains don't help..but I could have done better..I do need to mention I am a big stress eater..and since I havent been able to work I eat a lot..thanks for your advice..and be happy and healthy..and thin.

What you are saying is very typical. You feel full with dense protein but are able to eat a lot of slider foods like chips and popcorn. That is good news because that means you still have your tool.
Do you remember the rules when you first had surgery? Lots of water, at least 64 oz, protein first, at least 60 grams or more, no eating 30 minutes before and at least 30 minutes after meals? Track everything that goes into your mouth (I use myfitnesspal.com). Stay away from simple carbs. The more you eat them the more you will crave them. I think once you do that it will be easier then you think. It takes a little while to detox from the carbs but once you have you won't even miss them and you will feel so much better.
How are your vitamins? It sounds like you go to a doctor regularly. How have your labs been?
You have kept half of the weight you lost off. That is awesome. I know that when I gain weight I keep going. Last time I started regaining I regained 100 lbs.

thank you so much..I do still have my tool don't I..and I need to use it..I have been blessed with it ..I do go to dr..often..I have IV iron treatments as needed..I have had to have 2 blood tranfusions..once just out of the blue and then again when I had my hip replacement..but since I have gained more weight my levels are holding their own..other than that I have more energy than I can use..my body gives out before my energy..this darn hip is healing so slow..and I do believe it is the weight I have gained because my knees hurt again as before my WLS and my BP is going up as before my WLS..I have to kick it in gear..I see my surgeon tomorrow the first time in about 4 or 5 years..so maybe he will say something to me to make me do what I should be doing..I like him a lot..so I trust him..take care and keep up with your weight loss and weight gain..if you gain a few loose a few..before it get out of hand..
My husband is the same way abou****er. He can handle a whirlpool but not a swimming pool. I don't make a big deal about it but I am a "fish" and I wish he could swim, LOL. But I know he doesn't so I live with it.
