Had to cancel 4 month appointment

Sue, I'm behind you, but I notice I stay at a weight for  while, then drop again. It seems we are all different and patience is part of our process. The water part is true for me, too. We need to sip, sip, sip.

Thank you.  Lucy was just in my lap, a very rare event, she's so shy.  I think I'm carrying water weight because some pants that were falling off a few days ago, are just a little big today.  Now I know how those posters feel who say they'll be the first ones who the surgery didn't work on.  I always thought that was a stupid thing to say, and now I get it!

 Reminder: 54 pounds in less than 4 months!!! No failure there!!! The trite saying is true. We're in a marathon, not a sprint.

I need to remember the overall goal.  It would probably help if I didn't get on my scale every morning, but just can't seem to give it up.  Anyway, had a protein shake last night and it really helped with my hunger.  I'm working through the sample pack from Syntrax, some are pretty good, some are

I am trying something new with the crockpot, pepper steak, so we'll see how that works out.  I can't believe what I had to pay for a red pepper.  I think food prices are going to go through the roof.

I have a feeling I'm going to be in the same boat as you are.  I've lost only 10 lbs. in 16 days... I swear they made those incisions and then just played around in there.  LOL  I'm glad it's a slower weight loss though.  Maybe I'll stand a chance of having skin that bounces back.

I agree that not all the Nectar items are fabulous, but a few are terrific and I'm glad for that!

Crockpot pepper steak.  Yum.  I made some meaty ribs with a Fajita mix in the crockpot the other day.  Was tasty and turned into some great beef & noodles for Keith.

and, yea,  groceries are going up... it stinks big time.   Stay warm!

Thanks Ruthie, I do like the roadside lemonaid and I think I'll order that.  I add one crystal lite lemonaid and it's pretty good.  Went to the NRA banquet last night and was very happy that I was able to eat some of the dinner.  They had two small crab cakes and they were very good.  Unfortunately, I should have waved off desert.  It was white cake with white chocolate frosting.  I was only going to taste it and ate almost all of it.  Learned my lesson and next time if this comes up I will wave it off and just taste Jim's.  Maybe, or not taste at all.  I didn't dump thank goodness, but the cake wasn't even that good.

So glad you didn't get sick over the cake... would so not have been worth it.  I might have had to smuggle a spoonful of icing home to try in private... white chocolate... mmmmm...  although cream cheese frosting is better yet.  heh heh

Staying warm up there??  We, who "never" have snow, woke up to 3 inches covering everything.  Was gone mid-afternoon but pretty while it lasted.
