Im really not sure about this ....this is how i looked BEFORE business suited up ratty ends and all ....the roots are my NATURAL color which has a LOT of highlights .... its actually pretty much an ideal ashy blonde base shade ....
my niece criticizes me for looking " eighties " no matter what i do lol .... well she IS thirteen ;) She has a POINT though ...
this is me NOW post a demi perm dark brown shade which as U can see still hasn't covered all my blond highlights which are very strong .

one thing i really DO like is this color makes my ( light hazel) eyes look yellowish light green not blah grungy gray .... overall I'm kind of mystified what I can wear with this haircolor other than bright kelly green and fuschia .... I guess primary colors are the go- to for brunettes . This is still a far cry from chocolate but I decided to do it in stages .... not get rid of the super expensive highlights and lowlights permanently until I was sure .... right now I can put my hair up in a bun or braid it and it looks brown .... but its still blond when i take it down albeit with dark ROOTS ....
BRONDE .... im a a BRONDE :)
BRONDE .... im a a BRONDE :)
Change is good! I've been looking for a new style.. what did I do? Went back to my old "true and tried" style I used to have for years until just after my WLS surgery. I started growing it out, then got sick of working with it, and cut it off again.
I've been dying my hair for so long now that if I were to go to a darker color, it wouldn't take. I also get a lot of compliments on my hair color... but - I've decided (trying REAL hard) to let it grow out to its natural color - which is gray. I have some white streaks in the front too - so we'll see how it turns out. I may just get sick of it again some day and color it.. but this is the farthest I've ever let the color grow out.
I found a picture of me about 14 years ago and my hair was DARK. I always thought I was a dirty blonde but in this pic it definitely was more on the dark brown side.
It looks great. With braids you look like a teenager!

found a cool and cute outfit I couldn't exactly wear before ;)
a candy pink lace off the shoulder wool sweater with an alien embroidered on it
a pink wool pleated mid-calf skirt slightly lighter - ice pink
a peach and pink wool Marc Jacobs runway sample coat ive been dying to fit into
bright kelly green patent handbag bag of my own design
olive green low heeled suede boots
a feathered headband --well maybe no headband ( my niece says she is coming over to make my whole DRAWERFUL of headbands disappear .... LOL ) ( then watch HER end up wearing them LOL ....but she'll say ... STYLISHLY ... )
these sunny days in February make me long to wear pale wools like spring ..... these are not very good pics but Ull get the idea ( i suspect there's something smeared on my lens ;(

Ava, let's face it, you're stunning, gorgeous, lovely, regardless of your hair color. I love this new color on you. There's so many blondes running around, but this color on you is a standout. Wear it in good health as my mom used to say. Opps, that was about clothes, but I think it applies to hair color as well.
I've been getting high lights for so many years. Mine is a combo of bleach, blonde and brown tones. My bangs are a big white streak and have been for over a decade and they rarely hold any color. I'm noticing that I have more and more grey as it grows out. I have a skunk patch of white from the crown down the back of my head. It looks like a mohawk! I've heard of others with the same dang thing. I wi**** would come in white all over. I think that women with that gorgeous shade of silver/white are just show stoppers. I think I'm just a bundle of murkiness of up there so will continue highlighting for awhile.
You're great as a BRONDE~! What does new husband think?

Lee do you honestly think guys notice lol ? he hasn't seen it yet but my landlord told me not to dye it lol ...because I was a BLONDE lol .....
This color still has a LOT of light in it though - i figure if I don't go any darker in the summer itll look pretty much like this as opposed to the second pic boating which is just TOO TOO bleached out ....
