Fitness Fun - February 22

Good day LW's...

How are you all doing? This Friday I have a RMR test scheduled @ surgeon's office. The Resting Metabolic Rate will determine how many calories I burn at complete rest. I cannot remember what my numbers were over a year ago but this will give me a new baseline and determine where my max calories for maintenance is and where to gauge my intake/output of calories. So it should be interesting.

This test is scheduled by my surgeon, not me...so any questions you have, shoot them my way and i'll ask the nutritionist :)

What do you have on the agenda today for fitness?

Howdy Hey,

Today was elliptical day (a rest day from running). Went for 35 minutes, 2.2 miles.  Then did situps, squats, upper body free weights.  Did 4 sets instead of 3.  Getting stronger.  I'm going to go buy some more weight plates to put on my mini barbells.  I don't mind muscles, to fill out my bat wings.

Ugh, we'll just say I'm having a less than stellar day, thanks to a pompous, arrogant windbag professor who forgets that grad students are people, too.

ANYWHO.

I am hoping to get to the rec center tonight for some ellipitical, and I am going to do everything in my power to get there and get 'er done!! As for the RMR? That's awesome! I'm scheduling a bodpod session for my husband and myself to see what my RMR and % body fat is, and I'm gonna do it again in a few months to see how things have changed. Please do report back and let us know what it says!

Went to 5:30 a.m. weights class - worked the heck out of the legs and biceps. Then, this afternoon got in a 3.5 mile run with my pal.

Neat test.  Can't wait to find out the details.

I did curves this morning.  Ya know the old beam scales, well, I finally got to move the large weight to 100 this morning.  It started at 200.  I was thrilled.  I have been below 150 at home but by the time I get to Curves in the mornings and have had breakfast, protein and clothes, I wasn't under 150 but this morning I was.  Woo Hoo.
