Tumor Biopsy Results-- it was a GIST
My one week checkup was today (6 days after surgery, but who's countin'?).
The biopsy of Dunstan Turlach the tumor showed...
He WAS a GIST tumor, but with low mitotic activity (that's a very good thing), about 1 cm in size (another very good thing), and appears to be completed excised (a third VERY good thing). The surgeon removed 15x4x3 cm of stomach to expose and bring to life Saoirse, my sleeve.
Dunstan Turlach is dead. Long live Saoirse Silver Sleeve!

p.s. Saoirse is pronounced Seer-Sha and in Gaelic means Freedom. At least according to the Internet, and the Internet is ALWAYS right....

Love the name of your Sleeve! I never thought to name mine, even though I should......for as often as it talks and it does have a mind of its own! Lol!

Yeah, I know, anyone who names her sleeve is a bit off, and you might not want to talk to me.... (smile)
Why don't OTHER people name their sleeves? Men name their private parts....
