Hello LW's...

I am so not wanting this cold stuff around any longer. I want warm summer sunshine and long daylight days. I know I know but I really am getting very short fuzed on it...it messes up my moods seriously...

How is everyone today? Does anyone want to suggest a challenge for the upcoming week? I'm open for a new challenge....

Hope everyone is safe and having fun...

We finally got warm enough weather that I could get out and make my first real walk... To the Post Office and back was right at 5000 steps.  10,000 is my goal, which will probably be to the Circle K and back.   Anybody else have landmarks to use for goals in # of steps walked?

My challenge would be to the other newbies especially, to do as much or more as me.  Shouldn't be too hard since I'm just starting and taking it slow, like every other day.  Have to deal with a snippy hip that starts complaining almost as soon as I hit the pavement.  :-(

Just a thought.  :-)

I took a pony on a drive this morning then did Zumba this evening.  I'll do Curves for the next two mornings then have a clinic Thrus, Fri and Sat.  Somewhere in all that I have to fit in my work.

I'm sorry you guys up north are still haveing winter.  We have had a beautiful week and should have a pretty good one coming up.  Not that we are done with winter, I'm sure we will get cold again.  But I will take this any winter day.

So are you holding the clinics or attending?  I wouldn't call them "work" either way.  LOL

I'm the organizer and a participant.  The clinician is coming from Knoxville.  No, it should be 95% fun.

That's great!  Is it a driving clinic?

We have a "local" who does clinics on natural horsemanship.  I've not been able to attend any yet, but would like to.  What's your opinion about that topic.

Hit the wrong reply, check the last message.  Yes, it is a driving clinic, focusing on obstacle driving.  Should be a blast.  The clinician is a good friend from Knoxville.

I've been to some and some have some merit.  Some are just making a buck.  The big names put on a show for big bucks. They have some tricks and some work.  I also know some horsemen and women to do similar things very effectively, just don't put a name to it.

Ever heard of the book, "The Soul of a Horse"??  Written by the man who wrote the Benji movies.  He knew dogs sooooo well, and then his wife bought him a horse.  The journey, written from both his perspective and the horse's, is most remarkable.  A worthwhile read for any horsey person.

I got in a one hour toning class tonight. Tomorrow morning I need to get in a weights class.

Hmmm....a new challenge. I think in honor of Gina being gone, we should each challenge ourselves to 50 wall pushups a day! LOL
