We're having another, ANOTHER blizzard right now--expecting 10-14", ugh. So that means we will be in the house today.

Workouts--well, I will have to rely on the university's rec center as my TKD school is moving to a new location this week. This is also where we have our kettlebell classes, so if I do KBs, it will be at home. (It's so hard to get the motivation at home.) So, I would like to work out 3-4x this week, 5 if the world was ideal. We'll see how it goes. :)

Yesterday we had our last KB class at the school's old location, and it was SO HARD but SO FUN! We did some serious work, and today my whole body is feeling it.

I feel bad about posting this, when others are still dealing with blizzards, but the weather in NC has been glorious.  Yesterday, it got up near 70, today's high is supposed to be 60.

So yesterday, I jogged for 45 minutes straight, no walking, a personal best.  I went 3.2 miles which is a 5K.  Then I walked back (I was on the greenway) so I went over 6 miles.  I was wiped out.  Today, since my DH was going to the park to run, I went along and did a slow walk for a 5K distance.  I'm gonna veg in front of the computer for the rest of the day.  My legs are beat.

Goals for next week:  Do my C25K training sessions, M, W, F, Sun.  Go to the gym every day and do my weights T, Th, Sat.  Whew!  I'm hoping to pass into onederland soon.... and also soon to pass my halfway mark....

Ure doing AWESOME  and I'm so glad Ure running on the green  not a hard surface .    Just  FYI  (  I  used to be a  personal trainer  .. as a matter of fact  I trained  quite a few celebrities for what its worth ....  head of gym floor  desk at  NYHRC  club manager  etc....

at  your weight  WALKING  fast is as much of a workout as  say  jogging is  for a  150  lb  person .   Honestly  ,  in my opinion its a lot better to walk  every  day if U can than  force Urself to jog ...  its just too much  stress on the body and  risks injuring the joints  .

If  Ure gonna do it  ....  PLEASE  give Urself a break and WALK fast the rest of the week and ENJOY  the experience ;)  .

We really  don't have to be  like the  poor people  on the biggest loser .... tortured to death .. to lose lol ...

I honestly  don't think  Ure going to lose much faster if U force Urself to run ....  U MAY  end  up hating exercise or injured though...   big hugs  Ava

PS if  U ARE  going to  run regardless  .. then PLEASE  PLEASE PLEASE  invest in great  super cushioned (  fron t and Back  gelled )  preferably Men's  200  dollar running shoes.     The mens are designed for   the impact of  180  lbs  whereas  womens are designed for  135  lb  people  so they dont provide adequate cushioning for us  .

some stores  offer  a one year insurance policy  for ten bux on the gel cushioning  ...  if U buy that  and the shoes happen to break during that year you get a brand- new replacement pair .   Running shoes need  to be replaced every 200 miles ideally   but certainly every 300 ...  and that adds up QUICKLY  ( they still look brand- new ) .

I learned  to follow this rule RELIGIOUSLY   wen my  knees  gave out on me  from overuse  ....  many years ago .   I was VERY lucky  i  didn't have a permanent issue .

Thanks for the advice Mini.

My run, is really a jog, which is a 14 minute mile.  Not very fast.  I'm signed up for a 5K in April, thus the c25k training.  The reason I like to run, is that it gets the workout over faster.  So far, I've not had any issues, but I am taking it easy, but trying to push myself at the same time.  I'm pretty competitive, so it's hard to not keep trying to do more.  That's why I like the c25K training plan.  It sorta reins me in.

Thanks for the shoe advice.  I'm going to get a new pair this week, I love Brooks brand, but I'm going to see what's new out there.  I'll go to a good running shoe store, and I'll ask to look at the Men's sizes and get fitted properly.  I really do need stability control shoes, and have a wide foot, so I have to get the more expensive brands.

I'm going SHOPPING today to celebrate reaching my personal goal weight this past week. After nearly a week of rain, the sun is shinning today in Northern CA.

My workout week was good. Went to the gym on Sunday for Cardio, Monday and Friday for hour sessions with a trainer, Wednesday was Pilates class, Thurs. was cardio. Sat and Sun are Shopping days, but I will make it to the gym later today for some more cardio.

When I started working with a trainer back in December, I couldn't do one full push-up or sit-up. On Friday, I did 3 sets of ten full push-ups, interspersed with abs, for a total of 30 push-ups. My trainer was impressed and I am sore 2 days later.

Have a great day!!!

I consider shopping exercise.

Yuck, hate push-ups.  Isn't it great that trainers can get you to do them?

I've got some shopping to do also.  Last day on my World Bazzar coupon and I'm going to get some new SF syurps.  I got a food scale at Walmart yesterday and it needs an upgrade.  I was hoping the cheap on would work but not good enough.

Hopefully it will have warmed up some and I will ride Poppy when I get home.  It's 50 but with a wind and clouds.  I'm so sorry for those of you up north.  Yuck to snow.

Hey Diana,
Enjoy the sunshine!

This morning I ran 6 miles. It was a tough 6 though. Just not feeling the vibe. I've had great workouts this week, but only got in two runs. I went to spin class twice and did weights 3 times. So, I suppose it was a good fitness week for me even if today kind of sucked.

My goals for the upcoming week would be to run at least 3 times, spin at least once, and do weights at least three times. I'm so annoyed with my arms and hope to build up some muscle under this flabby skin to help me feel confident wearing shorter sleeves or a swimsuit in public this summer. I was more confident with them filled up with fat!

The weather here has been around 40 but the wind is cold. We are supposed to be seeing snow later this week. It never sticks around much though.

Happy Sunday!
