Have yourself some fun!!  You will look lovely, however.

I cut all my color out, between the color and the hair loss, that hair was just so ratsuck thin.  BOo.  But so now I have a short do, when my natural hair was finally long enough that I was not sporting some Grace Jones look, because while she can pull it off - me? Not so much!!

I am trying to decide if I want to leave it with all my natural graces as highlights (hooray for grey hairs! I earned every one of them!) or go back to feeding the color money pit.  :}  I sure did like all my fun different colors, but its nice to not worry about a Cruella DeVille stripe down my head and upcoming functions!

Fun and pictures please!

Brandilyn- have U ever considered ( this sounds crazy but its a product that WORKS ) just for men semipermanent haircolor ( that just dyes the gray ..and not permanently ? )

I love the idea of using Ur God-given highlights rather than MASKING them ( and *****ally MASKS when U have a rosette of telltale gray roots in the back ?! )

the reasons I have heard put forth in favor of THIS as opposed to OTHER , "female" DIY drugstore products are ...

its ashy and natural looking

it washes out after 6-8 weeks so U can either reapply or change Ur mind

it only partially masks the gray and the roots look natural

its pretty good for the hair as far as hair colors go ...being only a demiperm.

and most importantly ..it doesnt mess with UR natural color ! ( unlike say Nice n Easy which lifts EVERYTHING two shades and leaves an undesireable orangey tone and robs U of Ur shine )

I think they USE a product very like this at the super expensive hair salons .... one thing I DO know for sure is that everyone loves demiperm color because it doesnt eat away Ur hair cuticle ....

I just used a professional demiperm to change my roots to a medium brown ....but I may have to try just for men too to get rid of my pesky natural highlights if I decide I want to go darker ....

That is a super great idea, Ava!!  Especially if the just for men if it REALLY wont screw up the hairs long term, so many of the 'wash out in 8 shampoos' for women still change my hair color and then the colors start to cling weirdly to the ends!!  Which is why I finally went to have a nice lady make pretty stripes in my hair anyway. I guess I figured it was just as corrosive as the women's hair colors.

My hair pulls red like crazy anyway, even when I straight bleached it with so much blueing I should have had a shiny blue head, I still had butterscotch hair!!

I think the only time I wonder if I like it is when I see a picture of me in the sun, somehow my shiney silvers pixilate my head and I wonder if I look too harsh, then I stop looking at the picture and feel fine!

Funny how that works eh?  :}

Thanks for the good idea!!

Just my 2 cents, but I think a medium honey color would be super, then add a few highlights  (thinking Jennifer Annistonish) , then start to tone it darker as winter approaches, adding some red tones for fun (red fades really quickly).   I've always heard, go lighter in summer, darker in winter.  It's fun to change it up and be a new person every few months.

Hmmm, got me thinking, I have an apointment next Friday, think I might go for a few highlights myself.  Time to lighten up my hair, since my body is lightening up.

Cut it...best thing I ever did!!

Most Bariatric surgery people I know have cut their hair....especially when you lose hair.
