Monday - Where in the World is Gina?
She is probably sitting on the deck of the ship having protein coffee reading a good book!! I bet it is nice and warm. I can almost feel the sunshine on me - wow I wish I were on a beach somewhere.
Hope you feel better Lee. Congratulations on your 1 year. You have done a great job. Can't wait to see those pictures.

Gina has gone to the Bahamas! I soooo jealous!
Just work this week for me. Every day seems to be a challenge for me since I'm not enjoying my role these day. The people are really nice, but I struggle with leadership. I'm trying to stay positive.
I had a lovely weekend. It was nice and quiet. My grandson spent the night Saturday night.
My sisters (2) are coming to visit in early March. I'm really looking forward to seeing them. DH is not as excited.

Bahamas! We'll have to call her BahamaMama when she comes back!
Kay, try to focus on something that makes you happy. When those challenging feelings sneak in, try to refocus on whatever your happiness magnet is. How cool that your sisters are coming to visit!! DH will get over it. :)

Oh Jody, sorry sleeve is upset. I have been so luck that my pouch is usually very cooperative. I have lost 2 lbs in 2 days, which I haven't done since right after surgery. Guess the body felt like moving again.
I woke up to a glorious day here, got up over 70. So I played hookie from work and took a pony to the Biltmore Estate to drive. It was very nice and quieter than the weekends usually are. That is one good thing about being the boss.
I have tons of meeting over the next 2 days but I don't have to get dressed up. Then I go south for a driving clinic for the weekend. It should be fun.

From my house to the Post Office and back is officially 5000 steps. Yessssssssssss. Hip is hurting as I suspected it would, so I've split my Tylenol tablets into 4ths and am going to start back up on them. I'll walk again on Wednesday and see if the Circle K makes it twice the distance so I can walk 10,000 steps without thinkin' about it. I'm glad now that they gave us little pedometers. :-)
I do believe this rates a soak in the garden tub. heh heh
How are YOU keepin' busy??

Whaaaa! I want to soak in our whirlpool tub, but the NP said not until my 5 incisions are "sealed." Evidently, they aren't yet.
We left for DC this am at 7:30, with a stop off at Starbucks for a decaf coffee. YESSSS, 24 g of protein, only 190 calories.
Made it to doc's office in NW DC at 9:50, which is an amazing feat, courtesy of the no-traffic holiday. I figured we'd wait for the NP to see us, but he wasn't busy, and saw me 1:35 minutes early. Which was good, cause I had to go down and get checked to ensure i didn't have a blood clot in my calf. Turned out NO. Then we came home. I've been dodging a nap ever since, trying to wait til I could just go to sleep.
Tomorrow I will catch up on my journal of the first week. Then I'll post it somewhere, hopefully where someone behind ME in the WLS journey will find it useful. Maybe us 2011 Janners and Febbers should post a joint journal on the FB site? Whadya think?

Oh Tracey, I feel your pain!! I couldn't take a full-fledged up to my chin bath until 10 days after. But, I DID take half baths!! It felt good on my back, horrible on my neck, but it kept my belly dry and it got me through until Saturday when I could luxuriate!
So glad your appt. went so well!! Holidays have their upsides, eh? My first post-op is tomorrow afternoon.
Regarding the FB journaling... I am just not that ambitious. But I bet there are others who are!!
