Good for you for taking control back. I don't post on this thread, but I can see that you need some protein. Have you tried adding protein powder to greek yogurt or cottage cheese? You could also add some unflavored protein to your soup. Do you eat any dense protein like moist chicken, fish, tuna, or beef? Can you tolerate small amounts of dense protein? Can you tolerate cheese or cheese sticks? Protein, protein, and more protein. I bet, you would start feeling better, if your protein intake improved. If you can't tolerate the dense protein, then I guess shakes are the next best alternative. Could you eat turkey meatballs? Chili?? Egg whites? Scallops? Shrimp? taco meat?

Gail,

I am trying to up all my protein and agree that the best way to do it is by logging, logging, and logging more.
I am having trouble tolerating dense meats except steak!
Tuna, chicken, pork cant do, I can do lots of cheeses and buy an assortment of different flavors. I was going to try to eliminate my snacks but have found that is where most of my protein comes from so I am putting them back in.
Snacks are normally a cheese of some sort, whether it is cottage cheese or even a slice.
I do eat chili, and taco meat often but seems the only "fish" that sits is flounder, no shrimp, tiliapia and no crabs, all my favorites.
I was going to have a hard boiled egg for lunch but ended up in the ER with DS#4 today and had to settle for what I could find in a vending machine and was pleasantly surprised to find beef jerky :)
Thank you for the encouragement

Hurray Stacy.  I would add some snacks that are high protein.  I try to get at least 5 "meals" a day plus at least one protein drink, sometimes 2.  You may not be eating enough and your body is shutting down.  You could double or triple your protein drinks and that may help.

Price,
Thats what I was thinking too but was trying to eliminate snacking but found that is where I get my most protein. I can only tolerate protein coffee and will stick to that in the mornings.
I may start having one before bed too in order to help out.
I am working on it, Thank you

Sorry, I missed a couple of days posting here, just lazy.  I've been eating good, just not pre-planning what I eat.

Today

B:  Protein Coffee (1.5 scoops) While grocery shopping, coffee was starbucks decaf americano.
L:  Amy's Lentil Vegetable Soup (1 cup)  Yummy, first time trying it.
D:  2 1/2 Turkey meatballs with marinara sauce, 1/3 cup green beans, 2 sf fudgesicles
S:  Nectar protein w. diet V8 spash
O:  1/2 sf pudding (to take my crushed pill) and 2 chewy D3, and 2 chewy biotin

Totals:  819 cal, 17 fat, 85 carbs, 88 protein

Wow, the lentil soup was high in carbs (23g) , but soooo good.  Oh well.  I'm also going to cut out the chewy D3 and Biotin after they're gone, most likely one week left.  Then I'll take dry D3 and Biotin (16 g carbs).

Miles, went 3.3 mile slow walk, I'm wiped out after yesterdays run/walk of 6.5 miles.  Now I'm going to veg in front of the computer and TV.
