Who Lives Within 150 miles of....

I'm considering some travel, and wondering if I could meet folks who live within 100 miles of Williamsburg, VA; Washington DC; or Asheville, NC. Are any of you near those places?

There are quite a few people that are in that general location (not me anymore). When will you be there? Gina lives there, and I know there are several others.

I'm going out to DC on vacation the first week of April.

Tracey, we are within that range of Asheville, NC. We are just outside of Knoxville, TN. It's just under 145 miles from us to our cousin's house in Asheville. Liz

my first job out of college was in Knoxville, then I transferred to Gatlinburg. Such a gorgeous part of the country.

I'm thinking of coercing DH to travel to Asheville to see Biltmore gardens in late March, via a bribe to go through Charlotte, NC, where he'll enjoy seeing the NASCAR museum......

I live south of DC. I could plan a get together there easy as pie.

Me, me. But you know that. I am 16 miles from Asheville, on the way from Charlotte. Did you start spinning in Gatlinburg? I did some summer courses there in spinning, weaving and natural dyes. My Masters in Crafts is from UT in Knoxville.

(sigh) I'm so jealous of your summer courses. I didnt learn to spin til I moved here to Southern Maryland. I learned to spin so I would have something to do while my husband watched TV. I just got back from a guild meeting. I swore I'd only stay an hour or so. I left after 2 hours, and boy am i SORE!
Oh, wait, I just had surgery on Tuesday... duh.

I am 3-4 hours from DC, depending on who is driving and an hour from Williamsburg. In fact we often get season passes to water country because we are so close.

ME, ME, ME...

I'm in Charlotte, about 1 1/2 hours from Ashville (don't really know the milage, but it aint much). Biltmore is my favorite place! Love the fairyland aspect of the estate, have been several times. Spring is great, as the grounds outside were designed my Olmstead and are very walkable. A couple of my pictures on my profile are at Biltmore.

I'm fairly new in Charlotte, and haven't been to the NASCAR museum yet. Don't tell anyone, but I'm not really a fan (they might revoke my Charlotte citizenship). But we are watching the Daytona today, so I guess by default, I might be.

Would absolutely love to meet you in either Ashville or Charlotte. If you're interested send me a message and I'll send you my info.
