x-post... I decided I am at goal!!!

My doc never set a goal for me.  I started at 212 and when I went in for my 6 month check I was 145 and he said I was probably done and I had a better BMI than he does.

I was not happy with the 145, so I decided that 112 sounded good...it was a 100 lb loss and that sounded cool!

I am at 120 now.  For the last 2 weeks I have felt worn out and I have barely had the energy to drag myself to work...let alone exercise.  I was also starting to feel frail and weak.  I decided that it is time to call it done.  I am 49 years old and 5ft 1in.  I have very little fat on my body, with the exception of a bit of fluff on my tummy.  For the last several days I have increased my calories by about 200/day and allowed myself some healthy carbs.  I am starting to feel better and I was able to get to my spin class class today.

So....this is it....I am at goal and goal is 120....with 92lbs lost...now on to maintenance mode

Lori, Congratulations at a 92 lb weight loss!!!! Also, congratulations on knowing when to call it quits. I'm still deciding, if I am finished or not. I'm a couple of inches shorter than you, but I am feeling great where I'm at. Just have to see, where my body stops losing. I still have fat on my body. It is great that you go to a spin class. That is my next goal. Spin always seems so intimidating to me.

I started spin when I was at about 170lbs...and I was in horrible physical condition.  I just look it slow.  The beauty of spin is that no one really knows how hard you are working becuase you are in control of the tension on the bike!!!!

Congratulations!!  Sounds like you've done very well!!  120 is a great weight to be, and is my goal, but we'll see.

Doo they make recumbent spin bikes?

120 is terrific.  Congrat on getting there and on knowing when to say enough.  I'm hoping for 120 but I am 3" shorter than you.  We'll see.  I hope when I get to goal, where ever that is, I know it and can be happy with it.

My mom is 5'2" and is around 120 and she looks great. I think anything less and she starts looking too frail (she's been down to 114) and unhealthy.

Congrats on your 92lb loss!! That is fantastic. It's so great to know your body and know what is good for it.

Thank everyone!  It is good to be moving on to the next phase...but I am nervous...like most people I have LOTS of experience with loosing a bunch of weight and them regaining it back.  I ordered a bodybugg to help track my caloric needs cause I am nervous about maintenance!
