NSV: Jumping!
Oh, I will wait to see what happens, for sure, but if I go back to my pre-fat body, I will totally be ok with that, is what I am saying! :) I would like to hear what your friend has to say about the topic if you feel inclined to ask her! :) For what it's worth, I am doing more work with weights than I was when I was thin, so that may skew my results in favor of more mass rather than less, and like I said, I'm totally ok with it. I would love to be lean and curvy from muscle. :D

Abby, this is amazing.
And may I please point out that you have lost 1/4 of your weight in only 2 months? And that weight loss is step-wise, not linear? You're doing amazing. The body has its ways. And the increase in strength and agility means that things are going right.
Please be sure to take your measurements regularly. Since you're so athletic, your scale measures are going to be less meaningful than they are for someone who doesn't work out at all. Muscle weight v. fat weight throws everything off. You may be someone who needs to regularly measure your % body fat, too.
Regardless, the scale will budge. I know it. Until then, great job.

Rosa, you are amazing. :) Thank you for the gentle reminder that my body will do what it does in its own time, no matter how much fist shaking I do at it. :) I have been measuring, and there has been a 1" change in my waist, but that's it so far. Nothing anywhere else. I am thinking I need to see if the bod pod session Eric and I bought at the rec center is still good and have that measured and then do it again at the end of the semester. I had a pretty good amount of lean muscle before surgery, so I wonder if this isn't working against me in the measurements dept--all of them. Maybe I am losing fat and replacing it with muscle. Who knows, but *HUGS* for the perspective and support. :) :) :) My heart is full with the love I feel here.

Keep doing what you're doing! "Stalls" are just a nasty part of this process! Frustrating, but life goes on and the losing will continue!
By most measures, I'm a slow loser too! My longest stall was TWO MONTHS! I certainly thought, "I'm done and I'm gonna be the only one on the lightweight board that doesn't meet their goal"....BUT, if you are sticking to the rules and getting moderate exercise---the weight will keep coming off!
Quit worrying and life your BEST life---give the surgery time to work it's magic!!
CONGRATULATIONS on your many successes!!!!

Beverly,
It was just so amazing. I was in pretty good shape before, as in I could do 2 classes in a row and be ok, do most of what was asked (burpees are hard when you have a big ol' gut in the way, ugh), but what I wanted was to be back to my abilities (or close!) from when I tested for my 1st dan 12 years ago. I could do a twin front kick at that time and had decent vertical when jumping. I can feel that goal getting closer now! And my kicks are higher and more accurate with less belly to interfere, too. :) My hubby and I are testing for 4th dan this June, and I'm excited now. :) I haven't felt like I "looked" like a black belt for quite a while now, and I am excited to "look" like one again, if that makes sense!
And thank you for the support!! :D
